Tata Motors — car handling charges for passenger vehicles

I have been inquiring about tata tigor for a while and in the process received price list from two showrooms in mumbai - concorde motors and wasan motors.in this price list, ‘handling charges’ are separately quoted which forms the part of on-road price.

If you refer to recent mandate of supreme court in the legal battle against ‘hyundai motors’; the court termed these charges as illegal.in addition, personally i spoke with transport commissioner, regional transport office (Rto), bandra who confirmed such handling charges should not be levied and are not in terms with the guidelines issued by rto.

Hence, i request tata motors to provide more clarity on this matter.
