Tata Steel — Payment made and vehicle placed at Tangi Yard in Odisha. Still delivery refused

Won lot in auction conducted by Metaljunction on 22nd Feb 2021, Catalog ID : 79489.

We were issued Sales Order no.:[protected] on 17th March 2021 and given time till 24.321 to make the payment.

Payment made on 20.3.21 and Delivery order no [protected] dt.20.3.21 issued to us with validity till 29.03.21

We placed vehicle on 24.3.21. We were refused delivery and lot was immediately short closed inspite of 5 days still remaining in the validity period.

We spoke to Mr. Sayantan Majumder of Metaljunction who asked us to call Mr. Srijan Dutta. Mr. Srijan Dutta did not receive our calls. Again Mr. Sayan Majumder told us that TATA STEEL had used our paid material for internal consumption. We said, we had already committed material to our customers and needed it since it was a contract between us and Tata Steel which should be honoured. After 2-3 days they again said that TATA STEEL had denied material

We called Mr. Debashish Dutta on 27th March 2021 on phone no [protected]. He asked us to call back on 30th March . After that we called him several times on 2nd April, 3rd April and 12th April. He avoided all our calls. We also sent an sms requesting a call back, but received no communication.

We are facing huge losses and also loss of credibility due to inability to keep our committments. Also, our money is paid and stuck with TATA STEEL. We need the material at all costs.

Behaviour of officials is really pathetic and not of TATA STEEL standards.
