[Resolved] Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company [TSSPDCL] — disconnection of power supply abruptly without intimation | |||
I have missed paying the power bill - online, as i usually pay - within due date. This has probably happened 3-4 times. On each instance, tsspdcl have deputed someone - probably a lineman or a meter reader - to my premises and have simply disconnected power by switching off the mains from the meter area. On this instance they took out the wires as well connected to the main switch. This is the shocking part - every such instance has been within 3-7 days of the due date of payment of bill. Today's instance was not even 24 hours after the due date and i had already paid the amount today afternoon before they came for disconnection. Even after i said that i have already made the payment online the person disconnected the connection. As per my knowledge this is not legal way of handling this. There must be a proper warning or notice before disconnection. I feel this is malpractice and abuse of power and should be seriously looked into. Was this information helpful? | |||
