Times Of India — Over charging

Times of India news paper vendor was overcharging and when I did not pay the over charged amount he stopped the delivery of TOI & NBT. as no other vendor comes to his area so he is blackmailing me to pay more.

I had subscribed newspapers from Udar Vendor. I reside in dwarka sector 22. He charges exorbitant prices.I had subscribed for hindu but used to drop indian express instead of hindu but charge for hindu. on the days he dint drop paper he still charged in bill. The subscription for Navbharat times+toi came to Rs 270 as per my calculation fr a month while he charged Rs 285. The boys who come to collect bill are cheat. Satish the main guy doesnt come even when called. v rude behaviour. This agency should be banned.

was this resolved? Udar news agency seems to be a cheat.

TOI — No coupon recieved

I have subscribe yearly scheme of The Times of India and paid cheque in favour of Bennet Colman dated 06/09/2009 of Rs. 390.00 and the cheque honoured.

I have not received any coupon from their representative till today, I called their helpline number continuos 7 days @[protected],85,86 but nobody is picking up the phone.

Now i am paying money after paying for the same.

I want justice not money.

times of india news paper — NOn Delivery

Non delivery of paper for past 15 days. Innumerable complaints in vain.A prestigious media group, bu unfortunately horrible accountability. My order No NAD013307. please prove me wrong

I am Thirumani([protected]) from Vaishnavi Nagar, Avadi i have paid for annual subscription with the deal of distribution of paper from 16.07.2012. But till today i am not getting the paper. Repeated phone calls and e-mail reminder no action has been take from your end. these type of response would be affect your credibility only. Please let us know whether I can get the paper or not.

Times Of India — non delivery of subscribed issue

I had subscribed six months Times of India newspaper on the 27th July 2011 and the issue was suppose to begun from the 16th of August 2011.Presently residing in chanda nagar,Hyderabad. However on not receiving the newspaper till the 17th, I called up Times of India (Hyderabad) where my call was diverted to Mr. Kishore who assured me that the issue would start the next day for sure. On not getting the issue next day, I decided to wait for another day. Still there was no issue of the newspaper. On calling up the next time they diverted my call to one Mr. Shravan who repeatedly assured me of getting the paper on next day . This went on and nobody was ready to give me a clear explanation on the issue.
I spoke to customer care,Hyderabad again and again who assured that my subscription would be issued fromt the next day for sure. Now its been almost a month and still there is no news from Times of India. I had taken up a 6 month subscription and I have not been getting the newpaper.

Given below are receipt details, my details and other information.

Till dated no action and response from Times of India

Hi,
I have subscribed for Times of India Daily 6 months subscription in the month of Feb'11. My contact No.is [protected]. I was told that the subscription starts from 1st of march'11 saying that I have subscribed in the mid of Feb. But after several follow ups to customer care and mails, newspaper started coming from 16th Apr11. And I have shifted to new address on 1stof May11,which I have communicated well in advance to TOI. But again after so many follow ups and complaints, they started giving me TOI daily from 26th May on wards. Then after a months time, the area executive called me and said that 'the subscription period ends by june', so he asked me to renew it. When I explained about the entire issue and told that I hardly received for 48days against 180days for which I got the reply from saying that' if you want I can give you paper additionally for 10days more, more than that I can not help. He talked to me as if I am a beggar and Iam begging for it. I said no need to do any special favor to me, and justify my right. And from 1st July onwards they stopped giving me paper. This is purely cheating a customer and the way they have responded is really an hurting thing. In this regard I lost hope on TOI and felt very bad as THE MEDIA WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO BRING OUT THE BAD IN THE SOCIETY AND CREATE A CLEAN SOCIETY, INSTEAD TIMES OF INDIA IS CHEATING THE CUSTOMERS.

Hence request you to kindly do the needful.

Times Of India — Poor service

I am having a hell of time with times of India's service.. Its been since a month and a half the cheque has been issued. even the chequ has been realized.. so many calls and emails has been sent to the customer care. but still we have not got even a single issue of the paper... below is the email conversation. I have not got any reply for my last two mails..this is highly frustrating.. poor service.. indeed no service at all...! I want some action to be taken against this...!!

I AM NEITHER GETTING RESPONSE NOR THE PAPER. WEN WILL I GET IT ?? HOW MANY MORE MAILS AND CALLS YOU NEED TO START THE TOI SUPPLY ??? THIS IS HIGHLY FRUSTRATING.. IN MY PREVIOUS MAIL I HAVE MENTIONED POOR SERVICE....- BUT ACTUALLY THERE IS NO SERVICE AT ALL...!! IT WOULD BE BETTER IF YOU GUYS QUIT THE JOB. YOU PEOPLE ARE BEING PAID FOR JUST REPLYING TO MAILS (JUST COPYING AND PASTING THE SCRIPTS) AND ATTENDING CALLS (SAME REPLY) . AND NO ACTIONS ARE TAKEN AGAINST THE COMPLAINT...IF THIS COMPLAINT IS NOT ADDRESSED WITHIN THIS WEEK, YOU PEOPLE HAVE TO FACE THE CONSEQUENCES.

I am surprised that as of today we have not received the paper. Inspite we have made several complaints over the phone and your staff promised to do the needful everytime and till date nothing has been done. Worse to worse the staff are not answering the call for the past 3 days. A leading paper like Times of India should have more responsible staff and prompt service. Our area agent Mr.Babu's mobile is switched off all the time. If you are unable to give proper service, kindly refund the amount immediately.

Same here!!! I gave a cheque of rs299 to the executive about a month ago but I did not receive any news paper till now. The number which they gave for queries does not work. I sent an email to crm chennai and got a reply that the issue will be solved at the earliest but till now I din't receive any newspaper. Kindly take necessary action. My subscriber ID 31524673.

I am facing the same problem with lonely planet subscription.they haven;t deliver me july 2012 copy.I have raised the complaint and been following it since july.They keep assuring me that copy will be delivered in 2-3 days .but it has not been deliver till date.I also wrote mail to crm.[protected]@timesgroup.com
and have raised the complaint through thier website but no one has bother to reply me.

Planing to take the matter to consumer court.

Times Of India — poor customer care of times of India

I have taken 6 months subscription from times couple of weeks back they simply deducted the check but they didn't even send a confirmation message forget about sending a message i am not getting paper so i have taken agent number from my friend and called him after explaining the story he finally agreed to give paper later i realized that it is only for one day. from one week i am calling customer care numbers but no one is picking up the call . upendra [protected]

I have subscribed for TOI for one year and am regularly getting the paper even though very late sometimes. Of late, the whole paper is not being supplied by the paper vendors. Today and last monday, i was supplied just 24 pages, instead of the 36 pages provided by the TOI. I went to the shop and to my utter surprise, there also I found that the paper were containing less pages. I contacted the number provided in the news paper from where I was directed to contact another number, which I was not able to contact due to they were busy. I request you to look into the matter and solve the issue. THE VERY PURPOSE OF DEVELOPING THE CUSTOMER BASE WILL BE DEFEATED IF THIS ATTITUDE IS ALLOWED TO BE CONTINUED. BECAUSE 12 PAGES NOT SUPPLIED FROM EACH PAPER, THE OTHER FELLOW CAN MAKE A GOOD MONEY BY SELLING THEM. YOU DECIDE WHAT TO DO.
