i am a doctor working in a pvt institute in gujarat. we have a huge campus with approximately 500 docs in the campus staying and using TOI daily.
we are at karamsad (home town of sardar patel)-v.v.nagar-anand- gujarat.
our institute is called pramukhaswami medical college and we all reside in the staff quarters within the campus.

as a responsible citizen, i would like to bring it to your notice that the service provider in our area is not proper. Heena services is the owner who is providing us newspaper daily. but he is very notrious and does not listen to your complaints.

he delivers newspaper daily after 9:30 on wk days and on sunday after 12. we have presented before him and requested to deliver early. we even stopped his services and started a new person. the new person was threatened and forcefully made to stop their services and we were compelled again to start his services.

we request you to kindly look into the matter as otherwise we will in mass boycott the newspaper services.

I am residing at Hari Om Nagar, behind Mulund octoroi check naka. My paper vendor's name is Ganesh Paper. Till 30.11.09 he gave us the combo of Times of India + Maharashtra Times for Rs. 4.50 per day. From 1.12.09 he started charging us seperate charges for both the papers giving reason as he is not getting commission from Times of India.
Sir, though it is written on the front page of Times of India alongwith Mumbai Mirror Or Economic Times Or maharashtra Times for Rs. 4.50., which clearly indicates that the conbo offer is existing @ it's my paper vendors mischief to awail more money from byer.
I therefore request your goodself to gide me to get justice.

Thanksa lot for your efforts, one person had come to deliver the newspaper on 6-11-09 but he asked for the recept slip which i had already given to the newspaper dealer in velachery. The same was intimated to the delivery boy on 6-11-09 when he asked for it. However for some strange reason hos not showed up since then and there has been no newspaper delivery since then. Pse resolve th ematter ASAP as it is nearing almost a month since no delivery of newspaper at my new address.

I am a regular internet user, who read/watch/listen news from the times of india website. I have noticed that this site do not give option to skip the advertisement video & you have to watch the same again & again if you want to see the video again & again.

while most of the sites gives you option to skip the advertisement or forward the advertisement video, it gives you nothing, & you are forced to see it again & again.

The most frustating part is that if you replay the video, you have to rewatch the advertisement..

They should provide the skip button and forward the video facility in the videos.

My name is S.Arumugam , i bought a TOI subscription for Rs 299/- with a promise of paper would be delivered @ my door step for one year,but they made me fool, i keep on calling them to find when they will start my product delivery

i am wondering why do you carry customer service number when you dont solve the problem.
you have collected my money in advance not providing the product, isn't that called CHEATING.

I am subsriber of the Times of India. The delivery boy who delivers the news paper by keep it on the compound walls. Because of the rainy season the news paper was made wet and dampening for past three times hence I could not read the paper on the paticular days. The same was reported to the local news paper agency say Saravana Agenc, No.8, 7th East Main Road, Gandhinagar, Vellore - 6 they behaved very rude manner with irresponsible word. Please advise your agent to deliver the news papar properly. This is for your kind information. If the things continues I have no option to stop the subsription.

Am Vijay, I have subscriped for times of india newspaper for the last 2 years. Last year(2008), when i subsriped for the paper(from apr2008 to apr2009) they gave me a book of coupon for each month. My paper was delivered reguarly by that time after getting each month coupon.

In the month of April, i have renewed my account by giving cheque for a year subscription again. they issued a single sheet of coupon saying this is for the whole year(I tought giving a single sheet coz of the recession time). My local paper dealer asked for the recharge coupon from me. i asked him that since it was a single coupon, should i give this coupon at the start or end of the year?. he said that he wants the coupon in advance so that he must submit the coupon to the times of india office for getting me the paper.

There was no issues until October.

Now My local paper dealer asked for my new renewal card saying my subscription has been expired. now he was not delivering paper for me, but he has been recieved the coupon for the month from apr-2009 to apr-2010.

Their executive told me that the local new paper distributor will drop paper from 1st Nov 2009 onwards for next 6 months. But I have not received any news paper yet. I had submitted a cheque amounting to Rs.390/- on 21/07/2009 towards yearly subscription for Times of India Daily Newspaper, Kolkata edition vide cheque no. 851903 of Canara Bank, Jadavpur Branch, Kolkata - 700032, which was cleared on 30/07/2009 as per my bank statement. This is to bring notice to you that i have purchased a HEALTH COMBO product which is displayed on times of india paper ( shopping Column ) 1st Oct 2009 through my ICICI Credit Card and made a payment of 949/- which was deducted from my account at the same time. I spoke to Ms. Shilpa customer care executive she gave me the order no [protected] and told within 15 working days i will receive the product.

On 8th Oct 2009 i received call from [protected] (Chennai) Mr .Bhaskar who is working in First Flight Couriers - Chennai saying that please keep the amount ready your product have received to our office. I told that i made the payment and why they are asking amount again. He told that they received the product in COD mode which is CASH ON DELIVERY and he can't help in this case. and told if i receive any communication from TIMES OF INDIA like mail or call then i will deliver the product.

So at that moment i contacted the customer care[protected] Customer Executive Neelam She told that within 48 hrs we will call or sms you the details and you product will be delivered and gave the complaint numbre 1221.

I have kept many mails to [protected]@indiatimes.co.in but mails are bounced back and when i call the customer care there is no response for hours i might i have wasted 4 hrs on sitting near the phone. and in their website feedback form also i filled and sent i hope i am cheated and loosing hopes in the Times of India where i get daily newspaper, job portals where i am using currently

But till date ( 12th Oct 2009 ) i have not received any message or call from Times of India person.

I had subscribed to Times of India Chennai Edition for 12 months at Rs.299/- offer in the month of April. I was receiving the newspaper in a rather irregular manner for about 3 months.

I and my family have been regular readers of TOI for many years in Bangalore. We continued subscribing it even after moving to our smaller native in Udupi but found that its Mangalore edition, which though priced the same as in Bangalore, was far inferior both in paper quality, quantity, news content, and supplements.

We did complain, first directly to TOI, but to no avail, and also through Consumer Education and Research Centre (CERC), Ahmedabad. Regrettably even CERC's several attempts to obtain an explanation to this issue did not elicit even a response from TOI. We therefore shifted our loyalty from TOI to Vijay Times as we found value for money from this young and fast growing newspaper from this region. Sensing the growing popularity of VT, TOI bought it over recently, effectively killing the competition.

My son, who is studying in Bangalore and currently on vacation with us here in Udupi informs me that TOI, which he subscribes in Bangalore, is of far better quality, has more coverage in all aspects of news than what it supplies here in the Mangalore edition for the same price! Surely consumer products of various Companies such as biscuits, toiletries, and health products of identical weight and sizes are sold at uniform rates throughout the State and in many cases even throughout the country!

According to CERC legal action is not possible as the issue does not fall under C.P. Act 1986.Regrettably even Press Council of India, to whom I also had complained in this matter have replied to me stating that this issue falls beyond their perview! My complaint in this regard to our Honourable Info & Broadcasting Minister and her colleagues remain unanswered! It appears there is no authority in the country to bell this big cat!

These people are big time fraud.I paid money to buy a plot in Jaipur but since no development work was carried for 2-3 yrs I requested for refund.I'm following these people for last 2 year for my money.

NEW DELHI: They didn't quite sell gullible investors the Taj Mahal like Bunty and Babli did in the Bollywoood hit, but Vian Infrastructures Ltd convinced 150 people to part with their savings to buy dream plots in Neemrana which did not exist. The investors later realised they had been taken for a ride and filed a police complaint. Company chairman Surya Thapar is now under arrest.

It all began in October 2007, when the economic offences wing (EOW) of Delhi Police received a complaint from one Yashpal Arora who said he had paid Vian Infrastructures Rs 3 lakh for a plot in a city coming up at Neemrana, 150 kilometres away from Delhi.

"The officials of the firm were examined but despite repeated attempts, we were not able to narrow down on the owners of the company. In August this year, the chairman, Surya Thapar, was arrested by EOW," said a senior police officer.

The police, meanwhile, received 132 more complaints alleging investors had been duped by Vian Infrastructutre who promised to build a township but didn't have any clearance from the government or any infrastructure or land to give to investors.

Thapar's interrogation revealed that the company had purchased 300 acres of land in Neemrana from the money put in by investors. "We have written to the authorities to seize the land and there should be no buying and selling of the land while the case is pending in court," a senior police officer added.

Police said Thapar's associates were still on the run. "We have received more complaints from investors and the magnitude of the fraud could run into several crores of rupees," said an EOW official. When contacted, media consultant at Vian Infrastructure, N K Arora, said: "We did not have the approvals from the government on that project. There was a case registered against the company but it was due to recession that we have not been able to pay back the money and Delhi Police arrested the chairman."

I am Vikas and just shifted to Chennai. I bought a subscription of Times of India newspaper of rupees 299 from the trade center on 08 august 2009. After few days one vender from TOI came to my house and took the payment coupon from me and told me that from tomorrow I will be getting my newspaper. But I dint get the newspaper. I called Times of India customer care number which has been given to me at least 25 times , but again and again got he reply that the newspaper will be delivered tomorrow. till date I didnt get the newspaper. Tell me what to do?
