Dear Sir/Ma’am,
I had contributed for TOI newspaper for 02 years and accordingly Rs 1949.00 was paid to BENNET COLEMAN & CO. LTD on 21 Jul 23.
There was an offer of a free full size Bed Sheet on two years contribution within 45 days of payment but after passing almost 80 days nothing is heard from TOI which is viewed seriously.
It is requested that commitment made by TOI be fulfilled at the earliest.

      Dear Team,

      This complaint is in reference to my subscriber id DL[protected]. The newspaper vendor responsible for distributing the newspaper to my address (Address mentioned in mail dates 28-Sep-2023) on a daily basis is not fulfilling his requisite duties and resorting to malpractice and coercion. He is not regular in collecting the coupons and collects the same once in 3-6 months and asks for advance coupons (which are not even due as per the due dates mentioned in the coupons). A complaint was lodged with your team once in the month of July (complaint number[protected] where the vendor had coercively stopped distributing the newspaper to us upon our refusal to give the coupons in advance.
      Similar incident happened again on 23-Sep-2023 when I gave him the coupons for 3 months (due till 24-Sep-2023) while he additionally asked for the coupon for October month as well. On denying the same, he said "Tumko jo karna hai karlo, chahe inspector ko chahe company mein complaint karlo, kal se tumhare yahaan paper nhi dalega". The same was highlighted to the concerned CRM team vide complaint number 01317463 and to the area manager Mr. Parmanand Rao who has been citing his incompetency to deal with the vendor for this nuisance. He has been citing the union related issues with the newspaper distributors and now claims that the vendor has conveyed that I have verbally abused him, which was certainly not the case.

      The same can be verified from the watchman (Mr. Sohnelal) who was standing nearby. I was talking to the newspaper vendor (Mr. Kumar) and the CCTV cameras installed outside my home. I have been following up on a daily basis with Mr. Parmanand Rao, however no progress or resolution has been made to this regard, instead I have been suggested to take back refund of my money (instead of investigating and rectifying the fraudulent and false practise of the newspaper vendor).

      Requesting the concerned team to take the matter with utmost urgency and take suitable actions for:
      1. Resumption of the supply of newspaper to my residence from a retrospective basis (for whatever days the newspaper was not delivered, which has been communicated to Mr. Parmanand Rao on a daily basis)
      2. Investigate the practise followed by newspaper vendor Mr. Raj Kumar and take suitable actions against him.

      Hoping for a quickest resolution from the esteemed Times Group. I may be contacted for any further queries to be answered from my side either through this mail or my contact number (Phone number mentioned in mail dated 28-Sep-2023) or for obtaining any evidence of my conversation with the concerned people in this regard.

          Despite complaining, we are receiving newspaper daily at 8 am, while we asked for 6 am delivery. No point in reading newspaper after TV news. Request arrange delivery by 6 am - Murthy, f/o Ravikumar, 2J, 3rd Block, Radiance Ivy Terrace, Near Toll Gate, Siruseri, Chennai.

            I am writing to address a recurring issue I have been facing with my Times of India annual subscription. I renewed my subscription on July 16, 2023, by making a payment of ₹699, but I have yet to receive the subscription coupons. Furthermore, my subscription only started after a delay of 15 days.

            This situation is particularly concerning as it is now over 1.5 months since my payment, and I am still waiting for the promised coupons. To add to my frustration, the vendor is now requesting either payment or coupons, creating additional inconvenience.

            I must emphasize that this is the third time I am experiencing such a delay and inconvenience with my Times of India subscription. As a loyal subscriber, I expect a smooth and timely renewal process, which unfortunately has not been the case.

            I kindly request your immediate attention and assistance in resolving this matter.

              I have been subscribing your newspaper for so many years and paid the subscription on line for this year. My mobile No is [protected]. The Agent in T.Nagar was supplying the newspaper regularly but for the past two weeks he stopped saying that the agency copy of the subscription memo was not given to him. But I remember to have given it immediately on receipt of the same from your company. He has taken my mobile no. to check with the co. but so far he has not responded. Kindly check my payment as I do not have the other part of subscription memo. Request to inform me as well as the Agent to resume delivery as I have paid upto September, 2023.                 TOI HAS MISUSED BY DEBIT CARD WITHOUT MY AUTHORISATION AND HAS DEBITED SUBSCIPTION AMT RS.1149/ WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE AND CONSENT IN NAME OF BENNETT & COLEMAN.
                I HAV ERAISED COMPLAINT AGAINST MY BANKER TO INVESTIGATE THIS ISSUE AND SUBSEQUENT A CASE WAS REGISTERED . BUT IMMEDIATELY TOI HAS SAID THAT THEY WIL REFUND BACK THIS AMOUNT, AND EVERY DAY THEY HAD CALLED ME LAST WEEK AND TOLD THAT THEY WILL REFUND IT .
                BUT THIS WEEK, STILL HAVENT RCVD ANY AMOUNT, NOR THEY ARE RESPONDING TO THE EMAILS.

                This is a fraudelent transaction debited without my knowledge and have reported to the bank authorities.

                Kindly refund the amount back to my account before this issue is escalated.

                      I write to bring forward a fraudulent photo entry at your recent TOI's My tiger tales contest.

                      - the second winning entry in this contest, tagged as ' Fierce hunter: Taruna Mathur' actually belongs to a well-known wildlife photographer Mr Harsha Narasimhamurthy. In this photo, one can clearly see the watermark of the original photographer if looked closely around the region of the antlers of the dead deer being carried in the tiger's mouth.

                      - kindly remove this photo from the winning entry or give due credit and recognition to the original owner of the photograph and not some fraudulent who resorts to stealing someone else's property for participating in a contest. This just shows the lack of ethics in this contestant as well as the lackadaisicalness of the compiler in his inability to have properly scrutinized each photo to validate its authenticity. This is least expected from a well-reputed paper like TOI and it must do better!

                      I have also attached the photo in question with this form. In this picture, one can clearly see the watermark of the copyright owner and the original photographer of this picture.

                        I write to put forward a complaint regarding a one of the recently published photo as the winning entry of TOI's my tiger tale contest.

                        - the photo tagged as 'fierce hunter: Taruna Mathur' actually belongs to well-known tiger photographer Mr Harsha Narasimhamurthy. You can see his watermark name in this picture as well near the antlers of the dead spotted deer being carried in the tiger's mouth.
                        - kindly remove this photo from the entry or give due credit and recognition to the person who has taken this picture and not to someone who is fraudulently using someone else's photography for winning a contest. This just shows the lack of ethics in these contestants and also puts forward a lackadaisical image to the contest itself where the entries were not scrutinised well enough for their authenticity in the first place. A paper like TOI should do better!

I had renewed my subscription on the 11th of May for the year 2023-24, which starts on the 16th of June '23 and ends on the 15th of June, 2024. I also received the confirmation from ToI and an assurance that the paper will be delivered without fail starting 16th June.
                            Beginning yesterday i.e. 4th July, i have not been getting the paper. The newspaper agent said he is not receiving the papers!! Request you to despatch my daily Newspaper without fail.

                              I am Shoma Bhattacharjee, i live in Adyar Chennai, My mobile number is [protected]. I had recently renewed my Subscription for TOI (16.06.2023) my subscriber id is [protected]. Sice my renewal i am not been getting my newspaper, i have raised several complaints with their customer suppot number. one Ms. Sathya from customer support told me that the issue will be resolved, but they just do not bother to return their call or to reply us. After continuously trying they gave a the number of Times of India Manager Mr. Balajee's Number([protected]) i tried taling to him also but he says that because we did not pay the vendor directly and made our subscription through TOI directly they will not issue paper hence forth.

                              I totally fail to understand as to what is the mistake of the subscriber. For renewal TOI group keeps calling continuously but after payment they do not respond. I need help from the consumer cell to resolve this issue. I have paid Rs. 1149 for my annual subscription Either they should refund the amount or theyyy must issue paper. I kindly request the consumer complaint forum to intervene.

                                My subscriber id is HY[protected], my old subscription ended on 22nd june. I have done my annual subscription renewal on 15th June 2023 and paid an amount of Rs.1199.00 to TOI. Delivery person is not delivering paper to me. I have called and send massage to TOI rep Mr. G Venketsvera Rao which no.is provided in a massage from TOI, but he not responding at all. I have already sent a email to crm.[protected]@timesgroup.con, no response. I have registered a complaint on customer care on 24th June 2023, complaint no 01242351 bu still not resolved. Delivery person told me that he is no haveing any information about my subscription.
                                I have got frustrated from TOI services and irresponsible response. Pl ensure the paper delivery otherwise refund my money.
                                If it is not resolved in 2 days, I will registered a complaint in consumer court.

                                  As a newspaper, it is good but as an organisation, it is failing its subscribers.

                                  I have been a regular subscriber of Chennai edition of Times of India and had a very high opinion about the organisation.

                                  My recent experience has completely changed my opinion and I am writing this to caution other readers who may be thinking of paying Annual or long term Subscription.

                                  I had paid 3 year subscription for Chennai edition of TOI, which is valid till end of May, 2024.

                                  Due to job transfer, I relocated to Bangalore and requested for delivery of paper at my new address in Bangalore. I EVEN AGREED TO PAY ANY DIFFERENCE IN PRICING BETWEEN CHENNAI & BANGALORE EDITION.

                                  My request was initially rejected with a suggestion to get the paper delivered at some friend or relative’s place in Chennai as transfer between Chennai & Bangalore was not possible.

                                  When I opposed to this ridiculous and illogical suggestion, the CRM team agreed to refund the balance subscription ( till end of May 2024).

                                  Inspite of several reminders to Chennai CRM & grievance redressal teams, no action is taken, though they keep buying more time by making false promises.

                                  I hope Times of India live upto professional and ethical standards expected of them and address my concern ASAP since the issue is pending for more than 2 months now.
                                  This is to highlight you all that, due to poor local management of TOI I am facing lot of challenges as a subscriber.
                                  There is no proper coordination between the teams, everyone is giving statements as per their knowledge and misleading the end user.
                                  I am continuously raising complaint but everytimes it is showing resolved without my confirmation. This is worst service which is directly impacting a reported brand.
                                  I need call back from customer relationship lead, I don't trust anyone else down the line now

                                      Times of India just don't value their customers. I am facing Irregular paper delivery Issues for more than 6 months. Made multiple calls, Multiple Complaints, Multiple Mails. But all in vain. They just don't bother about these. Every time you make a complain, a complaint Id will be generated and then within 2-3 days, it will be closed automatically from the company end without any resolution. Nobody will call you or ask you about your problem. I made multiple Complaints, every time they closed the Case. Times of India is doing totally fraudulent activity and just fooling and faking the customers with false complaint Ids. Nothing will happen.

                                      Below I am giving a short timeline of the complaints I made.
                                      1. Subscription started - 23rd May 2022.
                                      2. First Complaint made for Irregular delivery - 23rd Nov 2022. But the case was closed by the company intentionally.
                                      3. Second complaint made for Irregular delivery - 5th Jan 2023. Again the case is closed without asking me intentionally.
                                      4. Third complaint made for Irregular delivery - 27th Jan 2023. Again the case is closed without asking me.
                                      5. Fourth complaint made for Irregular delivery - 4th Feb 2023 (Complain No[protected]. Again the case is closed by the company end without any resolution.
                                      6. Fifth complaint made for Irregular delivery - 9th May 2023 (Complain No[protected]. This time The manager named Mr. Arvind made fake promises and closed the case with fake Happy Code but the case is not resolved. He is neither picking up the call nor giving any proper response in whatsapp messages thereafter.
                                      7. Again I have not received the Newspaper on 15th May, 16th May, 17th May, 21st May in full knowledge of Mr. Arvind. I messaged him. I called him, he just didn't respond.
                                      8. Subscription ended - 22nd May 2023.
                                      9. As promised by Mr. Arvind, a 20 days subscription was supposed to be extended till 11th June. But it has not been done by him even after multiple calls and messages. He hasn't given any response.
                                      10. In between all these, I made multiple calls to Times of India Head Office, Kolkata and Chennai, but every time the representative told me, the issue would be resolved and then nothing was done from the company end.
                                      11. On 2nd June 2023, Made a complaint in Consumer forum (INGRAM), Grievance No "45***61".
                                      12. On 4th June 2023, Sixth Complaint Mail was sent to "crm.[protected]@timesgroup.com", "crm.[protected]@timesgroup.com", "[protected]@timesgroup.com", "grievance.[protected]@timesinternet.in" addressing full details and timeline of events.
                                      13. On 5th June, a new "Complain Number 01226120" was assigned to me on 05.06.2023 through the mail from "noreply.[protected]@timesgroup.com". It was assured in the mail that the Area Manager Aravind (Mobile no. [protected]) will contact me shortly.
                                      14. The Area Manager Aravind has never contacted me.
                                      15. On 06.06.2023 the case "01226120"was closed from the company end through a mail from "noreply.[protected]@timesgroup.com" telling it is resolved.

                                      Times of India, A Company with no ethics, no customer centric approach and no seriousness to the issues faced by its customers.
