TNSTC — EXPRESS BUS FARE FROM TRICHY TO KUMBAKONAM

Respected Sir/ Madam, I am residing in BHEL township area and my native place is located in Kumbakonam. I am regularly visiting to my native place in every week and used to travel by bus. Most of the time TNSTC buses or some times private buses. If we compare the private bus fare from Trichy to kumbakonam is Rs. 45. For TNSTC BUSES ((most of the buses named as EXPRESS EVEN MARKED SIMPLY BY CHALK) total fare from Trichy to Kumbakonam is Rs.60 . For a family Consist of 2 Adult and 2 Children 4*60 =Rs.240 for TNSTC EXPRESS Buses AND 4*45 =Rs.180 for Private Buses Approximately Rs.60 One Passenger Fare extra / high in TNSTC buses. If we compare the private bus fare from Thanjavur to kumbakonam is Rs.22 . For TNSTC BUSES (mostly EXPRESS) from Thanjavur to kumbakonam is Rs. 29 . The difference is Rs.7 (seven) per passenger and highly injustice. That means 4 passengers can able to Travel in Private bus(4*22=Rs.88) whereas 3 passengers can only travel in (3*29=87) TNSTC EXPRESS Buses. The distance between Kumbakonam to Thanjavur is 45 kms and The distance between Thanjavur to Trichy is 55 kms . For this shortest routes ( 45 KM & 55 KM ) almost all the buses are operated as EXPRESS but timings and stoppage are more or less same like ordinary bus. I would like to request the authourities to regulate and Frame proper guidelines about the frequency of the Ordinary Buses & Express buses to avoid the losses faced by the public. Express buses should be operated based on the total distance from starting point to end point should be 200 KMs or more and Only at the time of Peak Hours ( 8 AM to 10AM and 5 PM to 7PM) Express buses should be operated more .
