This company keeps advertising requirement for the position of Senior Executive - Administration at regular intervals. Often the # of vacancies advertised is more than one - up to five at times. I have attended the interview at least for four times - for the same position - may be in a span of last 1.5 years - none of the time it clicked! Each time I got a very standardized response from their senior most talent acquisition manager... "your CV has been short listed, but is currently put on hold as per our client's instructions". To me it looked nothing more than a gimmick or time-pass.Till the very end they did not reveal to me who their client was. Every time I inquired about the client, they say "the client is a fortune 500 company / a multi-billion dollar company and so on". They asked me to keep following up with them on every instance, which i did, but there was no response. At the end they said they would get back to me - a promise that is yet to be fulfilled! Any advice to other candidates?Firstly, ask them to provide you all generic details relating to the client, if the hiring is not for their own company. Secondly, please do not accept any verbal instruction. Ask them to provide all relevant information either on their company's letterhead or via official email ID. Do not quit you job, even if asked to do so, until unless you have received a confirmed appointment letter and have conveyed your acceptance of the same to them in writing. It should not so happen that you lose your current employment and don't have something in hand either. Proceed only when you are satisfied and convinced with your own self!Lastly, please exercise due caution while dealing with this company. Please ensure all conversations and agreements that you have with them are in writing, you may find it extremely helpful in future. At the end it is your career and you need to exercise due precaution. Was this information helpful? |
