Tvs Motor Company — Apache RTR 200 4V speedometer not working

My Apache RTR 200 4V Race edition model (Reg. No: TN 58 BB 1199) bike's speedometer display suddenly stopped working. I took my bike to nearby authorised TVS service center SOWDESWARI MOTORS, Seelanaickenpatti, Salem, Tamilnadu. They thoroughly examined my bike and said that my bike speedometer has to be replaced. I told them that my bike is under 5 years warranty provided by TVS motors during purchase. And warranty period is still available so replace my bike's speedometer under warranty. They said they will place request for replacement. It's been 1 month and whenever I call them they say my replacement speedometer has not yet received. But if I'm willing to pay my own money, then in 3 days they can replace it with new speedometer. I wonder does the system works like this only? Kindly take necessary action to replace my bike's speedometer under warranty at the earliest. Thanks in advance.
