I am writing this complaint to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service provided by Vamsi TVS Kankipadu. I have experienced gross negligence poor workmanship misleading statements and repeated failure to repair my motorcycle despite several opportunities.
I submitted my TVS Apache RTR 200 4V to the service centre around 20 June 2026 and clearly informed the mechanic and service advisor about the following complaints:
Bike not starting properly.
Front fork oil seal replacement.
Complete general service with replacement of all required filters.
Battery inspection and replacement if required.
Disc brake pads inspection and replacement if required.
Inspection and repair of engine oil leakage from multiple locations. I personally showed every leakage point to the mechanic.
The service centre kept my motorcycle for approximately one week. During this period no updates were provided. I had to repeatedly call the service centre to know the status of my motorcycle.
After one week I was informed that the motorcycle was ready. However after taking delivery I realised that only a general service had been carried out and the bike had been made to start temporarily. Most of the complaints that I had specifically reported were not attended to.
When I questioned the mechanic he initially claimed that all the repairs had been completed. Later it became clear that several of the repairs had never been carried out. Instead of admitting his mistake he gave misleading information and attempted to convince me that everything had already been repaired.
Within a short time after delivery the motorcycle again failed to start. When I informed the mechanic he stated that the motorcycle was not starting because it had remained idle for several days.
This explanation is completely unacceptable. I had handed over the motorcycle precisely because it already had a starting problem. Instead of diagnosing and repairing the fault the mechanic blamed the motorcycle for remaining idle while it was in the workshop. It is the responsibility of an authorised service centre to identify the root cause and repair the fault. Giving such excuses clearly reflects negligence and lack of professional diagnosis.
Regarding the front fork oil seal the mechanic initially claimed that the issue had been repaired. Later when I questioned him again he admitted that the oil seal actually required replacement. This clearly proves that his earlier statement was false.
Similarly I repeatedly complained about engine oil leakage. The mechanic dismissed my concern by stating that it was merely extra oil after servicing and not an actual oil leak. Trusting his explanation I accepted the motorcycle. However after a few days the oil leakage continued exactly as before. I returned to the service centre with clear proof of the leakage. Only then did they attend to the issue. This clearly establishes that my original complaint was genuine and was ignored during the first service.
Most importantly the original starting problem remains unresolved even today. Every time I report the issue the mechanic simply suggests replacing more parts without carrying out any proper diagnosis or technical inspection. Instead of identifying the actual fault he keeps recommending replacement of parts one after another.
I also reported a front suspension issue. The motorcycle was again taken to the workshop. However the suspension problem still exists. Once again instead of properly diagnosing the issue I was merely advised to replace more parts.
A competent mechanic should inspect the vehicle identify the root cause explain the defect to the customer and recommend repairs based on proper technical findings. In my case I have repeatedly had to identify the problems myself while the mechanic simply recommends replacing parts without even conducting a thorough inspection. This raises serious concerns about his technical competence and professional skills.
I am equally disappointed with the Service Advisor and Service Manager. Throughout this process I never received proactive updates regarding my motorcycle. Every update came only after I personally contacted the service centre. Despite reporting six separate complaints only a few were attended to. Even worse I was repeatedly informed that all the issues had been resolved when in reality they had not.
It has now been almost one month and the motorcycle still suffers from the same problems for which it was originally entrusted to the workshop. This has resulted in repeated visits unnecessary inconvenience loss of valuable time mental stress and complete loss of confidence in the authorised service centre and charging more than MRP on spares, multiple complaints have been given, but no action taken till date.
The above conduct amounts to:
• Deficiency in service.
• Negligence in diagnosis and repair.
• Misrepresentation regarding repairs that were never carried out.
• Failure to exercise reasonable care and professional skill.
• Poor technical workmanship.
• Failure to provide proper customer communication and service updates.
• Mental harassment repeated inconvenience unnecessary expenditure of time and loss of confidence in the authorised service centre.
I therefore request TVS Motor Company to immediately:
Conduct a complete inspection of my motorcycle by a qualified senior technician.
Permanently rectify every complaint originally reported.
Provide a written explanation as to why I was informed that repairs had been completed when several complaints had not even been attended to.
Take appropriate disciplinary action against the concerned mechanic and the responsible service personnel.
Refund any charges collected for repairs that were claimed but not actually carried out.
Compensate me for the repeated inconvenience mental harassment unnecessary visits loss of time and deficiency in service.
I sincerely hope TVS Motor Company will investigate this matter impartially take strict action against those responsible and restore my confidence in your authorised service network.
Yours faithfully,
K Bharath Kumar
