I bought TVS I qube S in aug 2023, The battery warranty was 3 year, Just after 3year 2 months the battery completely drained out. My scooty stop in middle of the road. I checked in chat GPT it says 3years or 50000KM. I drive only 25000km and battery is gone. Now new replacement is costing me 34000rs. They haven't offered any extended warrenty. I want below message to be answered by TVS
I purchased my iQube S in August 2023. The vehicle has travelled only approximately 25, 000 km. The traction battery has now failed shortly after completion of the three-year warranty period, and I have been quoted ₹34, 000 for replacement. Considering the low mileage and the failure occurring only shortly after warranty expiry, I request TVS to treat this as a goodwill warranty case and bear the full or substantial battery replacement cost.
I'd push first for 100% goodwill coverage. If they reject that, ask for 70-80% contribution from TVS rather than accepting ₹34, 000 directly.
This is especially reasonable given published customer reports showing some iQubes continuing normally beyond 25, 000 km, while other owners have reported expensive battery failures around the warranty boundary.
My recommendation: escalate to TVS before paying. A battery failure at ~25, 000 km just two months after the three-year limit is exactly the kind of situation where I would pursue a goodwill claim aggressively. Was this information helpful? |
