Uber India — delay by the driver & avoiding the customer's phone

I've booked the cab on saturday, 15th july at ~ 8:20 am. Started calling the driver, he picked the phone and told that he is coming. After that when called he picked my phone and told that he will come after getting the tire filled but since i had to attend a meeting, which i told the driver and asked by what time you can come. But he didn't reply and cut the phone. I thought he will come. After that whenever contacted, he started ignoring the phone call.. Then i had to cancel the ride.

Again i started trying to book another cab which i could not, as every time it was reflecting that you pay an amount of around
Rs. 72.

Though it is unfair to charge the customer without getting ride that too when the customer got late due to delay by driver, it is most unpractical that the customer is facing time constraint and could not book another ride. Over & above uber is penalising the customer by charging the ride which never happened.

This is the kind of professionalism which has been experienced by the customers o[censored]ber.

Whatever rides i had with uber, i have always rated them very good or excellent. But this time i am blaming uber to have this kind of approach. You earn money but not for the rides which never happened.

I suggest to leave this practice of charging unfair money from your customers otherwise a lot of competitors are already in the market.

If it is done, as a fair practice, you may return the money back.
