I booked a Uber cab on June 02, 2016 around 7:00 PM from Hebbal to Silkboard ( Bangalore ) and a got through to one of the cabs Maruti Swift Desire with driver name Arun. After confirming by the driver I called up the driver asking for the location he currently is. He asked me to walk for half a km to board the cab. I agreed and walked but he wasn't there. I tried calling again so many time but the driver had switched off his cell. I tried calling him many times but in vain. I wasted almost half an hour. Finally I gave up and went by bus. I missed an important meeting at office.
To my shock, I see that i received an email confirmation from Uber that I have boarded a cab and traveled for nearly a KM. How is it possible when I have not even boarded the cab, and more over I had to travel 25 KM not 1KM. This is really very bad customer service. is this the way you treat your customers. I lost my first time free ride. Please look into this and provide me a proper compensation from Uber. I have attached the email confirmation i received from Uber. I am sure driver switched off his cell by himself.
