Uber India — Driver's behaviour and code of conduct

This is about my trip on 9th july'17 in kochi. I booked an uber from lulu mall for my residence. Post my booking confirmation, the driver called me and asked for the exact location. While i provided the same, he was complaining about the traffic and said he will take time to reach the pickup point. I told him i do not have any issue since i had lot of stuff with me and i will wait for him. Post this he called me couple of times and each time i told him i am waiting and gave him exact location. Before reaching the point for pickup, he gave me a call and told me to look out for the car and wave when i spot the car. But unfortunately he was not driving in the left lane and brisked thru from right lane. He went quiet ahead and again called me. This time he started screaming at me stating that he told me he could not come to the spot, i should have waved at him and blah blah... I told him to stop screaming and asked him where he had parked his car, i will come near the car. He told me he was opposite seema's. I asked him to wait there while i walked all the way to seema's with my mother - in - law (Who limps while walking coz of polio effected leg) and my 5 year old daughter not to forget the multiple shopping bags i had in my hand. While walking, i again called him and told him i am coming near the cab and to wait there itself. Finally i was able to spot the car and once i reached, i asked him to open the car boot so that i could place my bags in it and board the cab. Post this we boarded the cab and once seated is when the driver is telling me that his phone got switched off. I told him not to worry, he can start the trip and anyways its a card payment so once he starts the trip, the distance will be automatically calculated. That's when he is telling me that he cancelled the trip and when i asked him why he cancelled it, when i specifically told him that i am coming, he again started yelling and screaming at me. Post this i also lost my cool coz he was constantly screaming since the time i booked the cab. Though the cancellation charges has been refunded to me, i am not bothered about this. My concern is on the behavior of your driver and the unruly way they behave with customers. I am not sure how uber systems work. But if your calls are recorded, you may verify the calls and listen to exact conversation between me and this driver. With so many safety issues for women in the city, i think only refunding back the money or decreasing the rating of the driver is not sufficient. I would appreciate if strict action is taken against such drivers so that similar incidents do not occur.
