I started using uber from april 2017 for my commute from home to office and office to back home. Till now my experience was ok with uber.
Please note that my from and to destination is fixed for most of the days and is within 8 kms to i was always charged rs. 49. Also, every day i used a slightly different route which is more convenient and i was still charged rs.49 because it was within 8km.
Sometimes it happened that because of their technical issue they over charged me. This issue is clearly visible in the receipts we recieve in email which clearly shows distance travelled at two different places in the same reciept and with huge difference. I used to ask for refund and noticing the difference they used to refund the amount also.
This time trusting them, i again asked for refund because they charged me rs. 306.47 instead of rs. 49.
But they are not refunding the amount even after pointing out the issue in reciept itself. I am having continues to and fro messages with them on help section o[censored]ber in app, but they are sending me the same reply that i used a different route.
My questions are:
1. Why is it so that sometimes they charge more and sometimes not even though i use different route?
2. Why the over charge is different also even if i use same different route?
3. Why reciept shows 2 different distance travelled?
Till not i didnt complaint anywhere because i used to get refund and we understand that sometimes technical issues arise.
But this time they dont even want to acknowledge that there is an issue.
Please help me to resolve this. I have attached the screen shot of the reciept. Please let me know more information is required.
