Today 6th july 2019, i left my mobile phone in side the cab license: ka23a7992, driver of the cab was mr. Vithal yalagude a.
We were visiting sampangi rama nagara for a medical consultation, when we got down from the cab my wife realized that she left her phone inside the cab, we tried to contact driver but we were unable to contact him and there is now way to call uber support in any situation as there no contact number mentioned.
So we tried contact the driver using the uber app but he was not picking my call so we started calling on my wife mobile number, it was ringing but not reply after few rings it got switched off.
We go down from the cab at 12:28pm and called driver and my wife mobile at 12:30pm (Attached is our call log details).
So it was very clear that driver was aware about my phone but not ready to return.
Even google's find my device was showing that my phone is there (Attached is screen shot of find my device app).
As there was no way to call uber so i have sent multiple email to uber support but no response.
After some time got reply from uber saying that we are unable to get into specification due to our privacy policy (Attached is screen shot of reply from uber)
I was just asking uber to connect me to the driver or provide me details but they said no, which is a big concern as in any emergency or need we are not going to receive any help or support and diver can do whatere he wants to do.
I would like to understand why they are saying no, i have already updated my detail in uber app and it can happen to any uber rider so why they are not helping on this.
Could you help on this as it is very unprofessional behavior and it can be worst sometime when anyone is taking uber cab.
