Uber India — Lost an item and not given back yet

The customer care is so bad in this app. Yesterday, I left my earbuds in the uber auto and called the person so he could return it. He said that he is busy dropping off customer and asked if he could return it tomorrow which I was ok with But the next day when I call him he says that he is very far from my location and asked for ₹200-₹300 to come there or he will not return the earbuds. I am Trying to call the customer care and the website is jus redirecting me to the app . Very disappointing
