I am extremely disappointed & surprised at the horrible customer service that i received for asking a clarification for a mistake on the part o[censored]ber.
I had received an sms stating that i could get upto 50% off on ubergo till 23/10/17 on using a particular code which i trusted & boarded a cab on 23rd.
To my surprise though the code did not work & i had to pay the driver a sum of 185/-. Their so called customer care executives were not ready to understand my predicament when i tried to contact them to inform about this.
1) first, i was told that i must not have input the code or it would have surely worked. I thought that was a really dumb suggestion. So, i finally sent a screen shot of the code failure that i got & i thought uber would work on this with its able customer service.
2) it didn't take me long to realise that i was dealing with dumb, mechanical individuals. Later, i was told that this is valid till 8 am on the last day that the coupon is valid till.
This is something that was not mentioned in the message that i got stating that i am being "gifted' a coupon & so obviously its a mis-communication on their part. On trying to explain these to their esteemed team, all i got was a mechanical,"we understand your concern". And not once but numerous times!!!
On an ethical note, i think i need to be refunded my money because i used their service in good faith hoping the code would work. The message from their end did not inform of the time limit on the last day.
Also, i don't think that i am going to use their service again irrespective of me receiving a refund. It is pathetic.
