Uber India — Suspended account without showing reason

I opened an Uber account a year back, but using my personal car so car so, not using Uber. Few days back when I was in urgency any try to use it, I saw it is suspended, I though its because of not using it for long.

But their customer care saying its suspended because of "Suspicious Activity" and could not be activated. They don't bother to show the reason ever after repetitive query.

I see this as VIOLATION OF DIGNITY, would have sue if had time. There are many such instances if you search internet. GOVT should ban such middleman, who taking their cut sitting else where.

Cars are ours, drivers are ours, passengers are ours...what are they providing?

Our system is the same across the 300+ cities that we operate in. It flags suspicious accounts and disables the application of promotions on these accounts and in some cases even cuts off access to these accounts.

You will appreciate that these security features need to be built in to prevent misuse of our services and to prevent users from creating accounts for the sole purpose of taking free rides. You might not have had that intention, however, the system cannot differentiate between the two situations and frankly, there really is no way for anyone else to distinguish the two either.

I fear if this mail also system generated otherwise why you ignoring my query? It is not expected that you tag my account as suspicious for unknown reasons. I see this as defamation and might look for necessary action if didn't get proper answer. Regards, Anup Kumar Bhunia

I am afraid I do not have further info as this is a system generated flag with no manual intervention in the process. Our system is the same across the 300+ cities that we operate in. It flags suspicious accounts and disables the application of promotions on these accounts and in some cases even cuts off access to these accounts.
These security features need to be built in to prevent misuse of our services and to prevent users from creating accounts for the sole purpose of taking free rides.

Hi,
As i mentioned i never used your free rides neither i did any suspicious activity. This is really a derogatory comments without proper justification, you should never do against your customer. Even after so many requests, if you don't have way to know actual reason, there is problem in your system. I really don't want to buy another number just for uber. Request you to bring attention of your senior authority if you are incapable to handle this issue. Even if you don't care about a silly customer like me, i want to know the reason of your comments "suspicious account". I don't want to hear that your system did, you don't know why. I respect your decision but at the same time I have right to know in what ground you made this decision. I never used your service free or paid.
