UCO Bank — Non payment of FDR in case of death of first holder to second holder with Either or Survivor option

Ihave FDR NO.[protected] IN your UCO BANK P.L.SHARMA ROAD BRANCH MEERUT.maturing on 06/02/2022 M.V RS.87000 In the name of KAMAL GUPTA &SANJEEV KUMAR GUPTA WITH EITHER OR SURVIVOR OPTION. My father KAMAL GUPTA has expired on 18/5/2021 due to Cowid.

I went to your branch with death certificate of my father and asked to close this FDR since iam second holder and alive to credit the FDR amount in my savings account and make a new FDR. BUT the branch manager refused to do so and said that payment will be made only on maturity .

BUT in other banks like SBI and PNB where I also have some FDRs they have made premature payment in death case. I don't know why your bank is not giving the payment.

I have many more Fdrs in your UCO bank meerut branch.

I request you to kindly make the payment of my FDR and oblige.or ihave to think of shifting my existing FDRs from your bank to some other bank.

The bank has also given me in writing that he will not make the payment of FDR before maturity and I can do anything.How can UCO Bank overlook the norms of Bigger banks like SBI, PNB and BOB whe they are making payment in the death case to the second holder before maturity.
