Please find enclosed true copy of a correspondence recovered from my late father Shri K.R.Natesan’s files after his demise. This letter sent on 31.07.2001 relates to investment made by my late father in my name; Vinod N. ( this is short for Vinod Natesan). We were staying in House No: 10, LIC Colony, Pongumoodu, Trivandrum Kerala 695011. The Branch Office that we dealt with was the Thiruvananthapuram Branch. The letter has been sent by the Chennai Zonal Office.
I am now located at D-55 Mahindra Park, Narayan Nagar, LBS Marg, Ghatkopar West, Mumbai 400086. My contact number is [protected]. I am an Advocate and practicing in the Bombay High Court and appear at the Supreme Court of India also. I would like to offer the entire Units for repurchase. Kindly let me know the terms and conditions for the same including the current NAV repurchase price. I could also come to your office and complete the transaction.

Dear Sir,
Please refer to your mail regarding status of RIP Account No: 311A05961. UC/s No/s [protected] in the name of Vinod S
In this connection we would to inform you that the Redemption Processed of the captioned RI /Certificate has been already paid
Details are as under

MY RESPONSE TO THIS EMAIL:

You have in your email indicated that the payment was made on 2002 in the name of "Vinod S".
My name is "Vinod N" and NOT Vinod S.

You have indicated that the payment was effected vide Cheque Number 425985 dated 29.07.2002 for an amount of Rs 6609.83/- and it was paid on 05.09.2002.
HOWEVER, YOU HAVE NOT INDICATED TWO VITAL PIECES OF INFORMATION:

1) THE NAME OF THE BANK AND BRANCH ISSUING THIS CHEQUE AND

2) IF IT WAS PAID ON 05.09.2002, THE NAME OF THE BANK AND BRANCH WHICH COLLECTED THIS AMOUNT.

3) THE NAME OF THE BENEFICIARY IS WRONG. IT IS NOT VINOD S IT IS VINOD N.

4) PRIMA FACIE IT SEEMS THERE HAS BEEN A MISTAKE OR A CRIMINAL FRAUD PROSECUTABLE UNDER SECTION 420 OF THE IPC AND 406 OF THE IPC READ WITH 34 OF THE IPC.

KINDLY PROVIDED ME WITH THIS INFORMATION AT THE EARLIEST. AS FAR AS I KNOW, I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY SUCH AMOUNT.

HOWEVER IF YOU GIVE ME THE NAME OF THE BANK, BRANCH AND THE ACCOUNT NUMBER INTO WHICH THE PAYMENT WAS MADE I CAN CONFIRM THE STATUS. THIS CAN AVOID AN IMMEDIATE CRIMINAL POLICE COMPLAINT FOR FRAUD AND EMBEZZLEMENT UNDER SECTIONS 420, 406 READ WITH SECTION 34 OF THE IPC
