Sir, I am giving the details:
Customer Id : 98453121, UTI certificate No [protected], UTI Bond No 19531724. The above mentioned UTI certificate was in the name of two holders namely: Smt Jayalakshmi Murti (first Holder) and T.V. Sivaraman(second Holder). The first holder is no longer alive and this fact was duly informed to UTI and accordingly they had deleted the name as "deceased". This was done vide their DR No. 10892/91-92 dated 9/4/1992. But inspite of this they have issued bonds in the name of the deceased first holder in the year 2003 and omitted to include the name of the second holder altogether. In fact they should have issued the bonds in the name of the second holder only, as the first holder was not alive even in 2003, when the bonds were issued and even after getting their records updated.
Secondly, though there is no change in our residence address, the bond certificates have been returned to them stating that addressee left permanently. How this has happened is not known. The efficiency of the postal department is very well known and the less we delve in it, the better it is.
The UTI did not have the courtesy of writing any letter, thereafter or even sending a reminder letter about the maturity of the bonds in 2008. Now I want the UTi to rectify the omissions that have occurred while issuing the bonds and issue fresh bonds (or change the name in the bonds) to that of the second holder i.e., T V Sivaraman and send them to the same address as in their records, so that I can claim the maturity amount, which has been lying for too long with UTI.
Thanking you,
T.V. Sivaraman Was this information helpful? |
