UrbanPRO is a total SCAM with a very little luck that one tutor may get some benefit if very very lucky.
I am a use for about a year as a teacher and a Paid Member. When I downloaded the app and registered, they took Rs. 499 (GST Extra) to register. Then they charge for Subscription for 3 /6/ 12 months where they give some free coins (To be used to contact enquiries) and then once they are exhausted, you have to buy more coins.
The Scam starts after subscription. You first of all have to upload loads of information and proof of your credibility as a teacher. But the enquiries are real or made-up, you have no proof. Most of the enquiries you contact would not even contact back or receive your call. Then if they receive also, the numbers are concealed by Virtual Number. First they are asking money to sign up, then to subscribe, then to contact each enquiry and then if they convert, you have to pay 25–33% of the fees to UrbanPRO and you have to teach in their platform only.
If the student opts for Tutor’s Home, only then will they share the real number.
Now in many cases (Most of the cases) the enquiries are not even serious or posted with correct information about the student, but i[censored] contact them, you loose your coins. For a 1000 coins (which costs about Rs 1000/- + GST), you will hardly be able to contact 8–12 enquiries and that also most of them will not respond or you will find them with wrong information.
They also sometime deduct double the number of coins mentioned for the enquiry with the logic of “Intent of contact”. So you contacted the enquiry with message (in their app only) you pay the said coins and i[censored] call them through the app, you again pay the same number of coins. SCAM at its BEST.
So as a teacher I request you to take appropriate action against them.
