Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation [UPPCL] — unnecessary charges for load extension on service request made through uppcl website.

I requested for load extension in uppcl website. They had charged rs.1300 including rs. 100 as processing fee on (Date 6th june 2018) and rs.1200 for load extension charges from 2 kilowatt to 3 kilowatt on (Date 17th june 2018). When i inquired about that with the local powerhouse i was told by sdo that 'for increasing load from 2 kilowatt to 3 kilowatt you should have a security deposit of rs.1000 (My security deposited was rs.1200)'. As i already had more security deposit, hence i should not have been charged by them. I contacted customer service o[censored]ppcl several times but they disconnected my call when i asked for clarification regarding this case. Till now no refund has been provided neither they have adjusted that amount in my recent bills.

I advice everyone for extending load please do not request through there official website as it will be very much costlier.in uttar pradesh online processing is not given much preference, hence they are doing all these things so that people do not use online modes in that way it will be easier for them to take bribes.
