Vcare Hair Clinic — urgent concern regarding adverse reaction to yellow peel treatment whitefield branch

Dear V Care Team,

My name is Ramya, and my registered contact number is [protected]. I am writing to raise a serious concern regarding the Yellow Peel treatment I underwent at your Whitefield, Bangalore branch on 15th March 2025, under the consultation of Dr. Harsha.

During my initial visit, I approached your clinic for pigmentation treatment. I was informed after a skin test that my skin moisture level was only 30%, as opposed to the ideal 65%, and that this was the reason behind the redness and dryness on my cheeks. Despite having sensitive skin, I had not consulted a dermatologist earlier.

After thorough discussion and repeated queries from my side regarding the safety o[censored]ndergoing the Yellow Peel treatment with my current skin condition, I was assured by the team, including Dr. Harsha, that the treatment was safe and would actually help resolve the issues. Based on this assurance, I proceeded with the treatment and paid ₹20560/- & ₹6949/- for both the procedure and the prescribed medicines.

However, during the application of the Yellow Peel cream, the staff applying it mentioned that such treatment should not be done in my skin condition. When I asked why it was still being applied, she responded that since I had waited for the treatment, she went ahead anyway, and advised me not to come in this skin condition next time. This was both shocking and unprofessional.

Following the treatment, I experienced severe burning, irritation, and discomfort, beyond what I could tolerate. I immediately reported this to Dr. Harsha and shared pictures. She suggested applying Aroma Gel, but my condition only worsened.

Since Dr. Harsha was on leave, I consulted Dr. Preethi, who mentioned it could be an allergic reaction, and asked me to follow up again with Dr. Harsha. Later, Dr. Harsha insisted it was just dryness, not an allergy, and advised me to continue with Aroma Gel.

Unsatisfied with the inconsistent responses and deteriorating skin condition, I finally consulted Dr. Raghunathan Reddy, a certified dermatologist, who diagnosed it as a cosmetic allergy, triggered by the treatment.

This experience has caused me significant physical discomfort, emotional distress, and loss of trust. I expected professional guidance and ethical treatment from a reputed clinic like V Care. Instead, I feel I was misguided and subjected to a procedure unsuitable for my skin, despite clear warning signs.

I kindly request a full refund of ₹27, 500/-, and a review of the protocols followed at your clinic to avoid such distressing experiences for others.
