I went to VFS Global and was charged ₹4, 300 for a so-called “Premium Service” that I never agreed to fully. I was told ₹1, 500 is mandatory, and paying a bit more would get me a faster visa process and doorstep services.
However, after paying ₹4, 300:
• I was still required to visit the passport office in person for submission, which contradicts the “premium” services I was promised.
• On top of that, I was asked to pay ₹800 more for the courier service, which should have been included.
• When I returned to speak with Mr. Anmol at the counter (who was at the reception), he denied ever saying “₹1, 500 is mandatory” and claimed I was misunderstanding. He said nothing about premium services and was dismissive of my concerns.
After this conversation, I was told I’d be refunded and that Mr. Anmol assured me everything would be refunded. He gave me an email ID to contact him, promising that the refund would be processed and that I could come back any time. It’s been over 20 days now, and I’ve received no reply.
• I still have not received a refund.
• I have no clarity on what I paid for or what I actually received.
• Tomorrow, I have a passport submission appointment, and I still have to follow the normal procedure despite being charged for a “premium” service.
This is unacceptable. I have been misled, overcharged, and promised a refund that has not been honored.
I demand:
1. A full refund of ₹4, 300 for the premium charges I did not receive.
2. An investigation into why I was misled and why I have not been refunded.
3. A proper explanation of what the premium services actually include and why I did not receive them.
