My name is Sarath Kumar & I have booked a plot (No. 67) in VGN Mayfield park at Tambaram. I have paid an initial advance of Rs.2.50, lakhs through cheque in the month of June '19. Due to medical/financial problems I have cancelled and given the cancellation letter on June '19 (i.e., within 12 days of booking). When I reached out to the sales team (Mr. Suresh Babu, Sumalatha & Naveen Singh) they said, from the date of cancellation the refund process will take ~2 months. I have been following up for more than 18+ months but in vein. I have met them several times in person (office) and called many times but they are giving some tentative dates. Last month also they confirmed that it will be refund by tomorrow or within a week but nothing happen so. Everything seems to be false promise and lame excuses and finally after dragging me more than 18+ months, Now they are saying that they don't have funds. Hence they unable to refund it. As the cancellation letter has given on June 2019 and also deducted 5% o[censored]nit cost as a cancellation fees, still they are keep on sending automated messages and mails. I have sent a mail to Suresh Babu, Sumalatha, Naveen Singh, & Sony Dhiraj to stop sending it but there no proper response from them. If you are not cancelling or continue sending emails or messages, I would take appropriate legal action for compensation for mental agony and torture at your cost and risk. VGN Projects Estates customer support has been notified about the posted complaint. Verified Support Feb 02, 2021 VGN Projects Estates Customer Care's response Dear Sir, We noted the content of your complaint and we would like to intimate you that as per our cancellation policy 5% of the unit cost will be deducted and we will refund the balance payment to the customers. In your case, you have paid only 5% as an advance so the entire amount is forfeited as per our booking terms & conditions. As you are aware that it’s clearly mentioned in our booking form in which you have signed in our Terms & Conditions at the time of booking. Feb 15, 2021 Updated by Sarath_K At the time of booking, you have not informed me that you will be deducting 5% of the unit cost for any cancellation. Even they have not given me time to read the booking form. They are more intent on getting the signature in the booking form. I came to know that after cancelling the booked plot. Now, after many follow-ups for more than 1.5+ years. Now you are saying it is not possible. Moreover, I have given email cancellation for the booked plot in June 2019 and to stop sending the messages & emails. Suresh Babu and Naveen have given email confirmation that I will not receive it further, but still am getting it.
