Dear Sir/Mam,
This is Manjula Pradeep, a Human Rights lawyer and activist from Ahmedabad. I had purchased Vivo V 17 Pro mobile phone with serial no. [protected] on 4th December 2019.
There is problem of display in my phone since 3rd November 2020, hence I went to the Vivo authorized service center on 3rd Floor, Turquoise -5, Main Panchvati cross road, Main CG road, Ahmedabad. I showed my phone to the staff to sort out the problem. My phone has tempered glass, which did not had a single scratch. The vivo staff took the phone inside and when he came out, he said that he showed it to the engineer and who say that the screen has a scratch which is thinner than a hair.
He said that this repair is not part of the warranty and hence I will have to pay an amount of INR 6200 to repair the display.
So i requested him to give me in writing and which I am attaching. However I am not satisfied with their service and I did not signed on the letter also did not took the copy of it. But I took picture of the letter from the staff.
The staff also said that this kind of problems happens on mobiles with amoled display.
I am disappointed with their attitude and response to my problem.
Hence I am writing this complaint to see the possibility of my phone display problem gets sorted out without any payments.
I want the display to be repaired as my phone is under warranty period.
Otherwise, I will have to go to the consumer court for redressal of my problem.
