[Resolved]  Volkswagen India — Autobahn Mumbai - Poor quality painting and denting work

I want to bring to your notice the malpractices happening at Volkswagen Authorised Workshop - Autobahn, Vidyavihar, Mumbai, India

My vehicle VW Polo Petrol Highline having registration number MH03BS3834 has been going to this workshop since 2015 however every time it came back with additional complaints/issues.

Around 3 years back I got denting and painting bodyshop work done at this workshop of the rear left door and rear quarter panel. Recently, I noticed that the paint has started chipping off on the rear left door and showing signs of rust. While in the rear quarter panel bubbles have started to appear in the paint. I am attaching pictures for reference.

I raised a complaint regarding this with the VW India Customer Care having Concern number CCR11517469. After raising the complaint I got a call from the Dealer - Volkswagen Autobahn, Mumbai who informed me to get the vehicle inspected at the authorised VW workshop- BU Bhandari, Wakad, Pune since I am now based out of Pune.

After getting the vehicle inspected I was shocked to hear the diagnosis from the Bodyshop Manager - Mr. Amol at BU Bhandari. He informed me that there is defect in the painting work and it has not been done as per the process due to which the paint is chipping off and catching rust. In order to fix the issue the whole bodywork will have to be done again properly.

Post this discussion I went on a call with VW India Customer Support who took both the Mumbai and Pune service managers on the line. Over this recorded call you can clearly hear Mr. Brijesh Tiwari from Autobahn, Mumbai asking Mr. Amol of BU Bhandari to conduct malpractices such as intentionally damaging the vehicle to take false claim from Insurance company and mislead the customer by making up false excuses to not fix the shoddy work done.

While I have paid for the entire bodywork in full the VW authorised workshop - Autobahn has done cost cutting and delivered low quality work.

I would like the shoddy denting and painting work to be repaired by a VW Workshop in Pune.

However, VW India customer support has not bothered to resolve my issue since more than 10 days despite calling them several times!!
