Recently vw service centre at mangalore (Bharath service centre, adyar, mangalore) replaced (According to their advisor) rear-wheel abs sensor after i complained of abs and tracking symbol display on the dashboard. To my surprise, service centre does not give any record or receipt of what sensor has been replaced as the vehicle is under warranty. Unfortunately, yesterday, the same problem recurred with a dashboard showing abs and tracking symbols. Mangalore vw service technician says, because of coastal weather, the abs senor malfunctions in mangalore! Very unprofessional reply as there are many other automobiles plying in mangalore city including many of my office colleagues where not even once abs sensor has malfunctioned for other brands.in that case, vw cannot sell in peninsular india as india's coastal line is quite long and vw cannot sell cars in chennai, bombay, vizag, cochin, chennai and all together coastal cities? If it is true, i feel this is a serious design snag as the abs sensors keep failing frequently for the above models. Either the abs sensors used are of questionable quality or it is not protected duly against environmental degradation. I am afraid how many more senors i need to replace which costs rs. 4500 to 5000? Was this information helpful? |
I'm told by the mechanics of the agencies and outside garages as well during colloquies that the ABS sensors are unsuitable for our weather. Those Toyotas have been used in much more adverse weather conditions and have created problem not even once.
I wonder what is wrong with your cars and wood look forward to your response /advice.
