Earlier this month, my VW Taigun had a fuel line which got damaged and so I towed my vehicle to the VW service centre in Verna, Goa on 9th January 2026. I asked for the price for replacing the damaged fuel pipe and i was told by the service attendant that it would cost about INR 5000. I then went about to tell the attendant to go ahead and place the order for the damaged pipe to which he did and told me that since the part has to come from Pune, Maharashtra, it would take about 8-10 days. Later in the following week i get to know from the service attendant that the cost of the pipe is INR24000 After a lot of follow up, the part took 18 days to arrive and get fixed. I was helpless as i could not take my car anywhere else as the fuel was completely drained from my vehicle because of the damaged pipe. Finally when it was time to deliver my car to my residence, the driver barely made it in front of my building gate. I asked him to park the car in my garage to which he could not because the fuel tank ended up completely dry and empty so much so that the vehicle would not even start. Finally the service centre arranged to fill my car with petrol of INR 500 which I had to pay. The car was dusty from inside when I received it since it was in the service centre for 18 days. Overall this was the worst experience I have ever had with any car brand and I have owned a Maruti, Honda and Kia in the past. VW has made a mockery and played with my emotions in the worst way possible and that is why I have decided to use this platform to vent out my experience. Overall I had to pay nearly INR28000 to get a simple fuel pipe of my car fixed only to end up with a dirt car with no fuel in it at all. Was this information helpful? |
