Waman Hari Pethe — diamond ring

I bought a diamond worth rs. 40, 000 from waman hari pethe jewellers, seawoods grand central mall branch on 27.1.19. As the size was larger i gave it to them for making it one size smaller after few days. They returned it to me on 10.3.19 which was quite later than expected. But barely within a month of its use a diamond of 1 cent fell off from which was quite unexpected as we as consumer trust such reputed brands blindly. Hence i was very shocked and disappointed and approached the branch for repair. They tried wash off their hands by stating that the product quality was good and i must have dropped it somewhere and that's the reason it has come out. I was shocked to hear about such false comments and utter unprofessionalism of the staffs of such a "reputed" company. When i was not ready to accept that and asked them for repair the salesperson who seemed to be the main person or in-charge of the shop agreed and told that he will repair it and it will only take the charges of the diamond and gst and won't charge anything for repair as it has happened within a month of its handing over to me. But today when i went to the shop after conversing with them in the morning the main salesman was not there to deliver. The elderly lady staff told me that they will take not only the diamond charges but also the repairing charges which supposed to be waived off. She was very adamant and clearly told me that they cannot provide any guarantee of their product quality once it is out of the shop. I was really shocked and got infuriated at such pathetic treatment of consumers by the staff of wama hari pethe. I had to pay the full charge of rs 1534. I was ready to pay the diamond charges but as the main salesman had committed that he won't take the making charges for repairing, i made the lady staff call him up and he told me over phone that he will talk to the lady staff about wavering but finally did nothing and took the entire repairing charges which according to me is very unjustified and disappointing. If the staff of such big companies cheat us like this by sweet talking then what is the status of the current generation consumers like us who completely trust such big brands??? I personally feel that people must think twice cautious before trusting and buying from this kind of brands. I will wait for respective authorities to help consumers like us on such matters.
