I was called for interview at the Wipro Kolkata office on 10th August, 2026. It was a bulk hiring process, with numerous interviewees. While I understand that organizing the interview for so many candidates is a humongous task, but the process could have been more organized with planned strategy.
First of all, I found that the staff, ranging from lower to higher level employees were very rude towards the interviewees. Moreover, the interviewees were made to stand 4-5 hours in the scorching heat of Kolkata, just to generate a guest identity card. Many fell sick at that time and had to back out.
Finally, we could enter the interview room in the afternoon after 2 pm. Even there the HRs were extremely arrogant and insensitive towards us. I remember that they did not even allow some people to go out and eat lunch citing "security constraints." This is totally against humanity to treat candidates like this, given the fact that many had travelled long distances to come and had not eaten since morning. They wanted us to stay till 8:30 pm and yet did not allow us to eat. I fell sick by the evening and I wanted to leave the room, but to my surprise I was told that I can only leave once the security guard comes and takes me from there (and he came 45 minutes later).
Overall, I had a horrible experience at Wipro Kolkata Office. I would like to highlight that the Company as a whole is great. I can say this because I have also been to interview at the Gurgaon and Noida offices, where the system was much better and the staff, extremely polite and courteous. I had an amazing experience there. Please look into this matter and monitor the conduct of the staff at the Kolkata office. This would be beneficial for the candidates who come here with high hopes, in order to fulfil their career aspirations. Was this information helpful? |
