On 14th of April, 2008 around 18.15 hrs I booked a ticket destined from Bangalore to Delhi (Indian Airlines : IC-404)and I paid the payment through the ICICI Net Banking, and the payment was successful. But as soon as i was redirected i got a warning message :
"Sorry, but one of the flights you selected is no longer available. It's annoying, but it happens.
Your card has been pre authorized for the booking amount but has not been credited to Yatra. This amount will be reversed at the earliest. We are sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused.
For further information, Please contact our call center at[protected] or[protected]"
I called the yatra customer care and talked to the customer care executive to ask whether my ticket was confirmed or not, she said there is some technical fault at the website and my ticket was not booked. But my question to her was that where my money has gone, its already been deducted from my account.I had just over Rs. 10, 000 in my account and I wanted to book two tickets but now i can only book one ticket with the left over amount as the debited amount of Rs 4750 will be credited to my account in 5-6 business days .
I don't know why did yatra authorities not remove the flights they do not book tickets for or for any other reason(or any technical faults.) I had some urgent business but now I cannot book my tickets because I have no balance in my ICICI Bank account. I am very disappointed with the kind of reply I got through the customer care and they had no alternative solution for me. Why can't the money be returned right now to my account, why this delay is there; when the money is debited it just takes 2-3 seconds to debit, but it will take ages for them to refund my money.
I urge the authorities if they are reading this to kindly take some actions against yatra.
