Despite walking into their bangalore branch and submitting account closure form with valid id, account was kept active. Apparently had not done even a single trade since opening the account and show zero balance. Since account closure was not actioned, it accumulated negative balance and they reported to bse. Illiterate customer support personnel who cannot comprehend a query asked instead close the ticket without resolution. Can bse ombudsman help with irregularities and working culture of depository participants?
