[Resolved]  Zoom Car — illegal charges of rs 10786/- demanded by zoomcar

Zoomcar booked under ref no jps66gv8c for dec 14-15, 2019. The company never informed that the car had to be opened through app. The app could not open the car and thus the car could not be used. Frantic calls made to zoom car was futile as the numbers were disconnected. Email send immediately but no response. 2 days later demand made by zoom car for rs 10786/- and no details given. Recovery notices send by zoomcar threatening legal action. Reply given to the legal notice by advocate but no response received from zoom car. They keep sending recovery notices but fail to send any reply. Zoom car acknowledged lapse in service vide email of dec 16, 2019. The case ref nos are 1559073 and 1562233 which are yet pending.
I had to make a complaint online as no response is being received by zoom car.

Hi Appachu,

As explained i have never used the car as the same could not open through the app thus sending odometer reading does not arise. Please read my complaints properly and then write back. I have clearly stated that the trip was wasted as i could not open the car and thus the car was never used. If i dont get a proper response asap and my case is not solved i will have to file legal proceedings against you.

i am yet awaiting a response to the issues raised by me nothing has been solved and if my issues are not solved in the next couple of days i will have no option but to drag you to court.

Hello Kawashaw,

We did check the booking and see that you have raised the concern with regard to the unlocking of the vehicle around 14 Dec 2019 12:53 PM.

Our team has tried reaching out on the registered mobile number twice, however, we received a response that the mobile number is unavailable.

As you have not picked the vehicle, we will not be able to process the refund here. Also, we have reversed the charges levied on the booking as the same is invalid.
