Even i am facing the same problem. I am frustated with them for last two months trying to resolve my issue. They finally blame bank for not sending msgs while the actual problem is with airtel as i am not receiving other messages like IRCTC, BookMyShow, My Office alerts too. Worst service by Airtel. Thinking to switch back to Vodafone.

I am having problem with receiving OTP messages for - Online Wallets, Email Logins etc. Banking messages like balance enquiry, ATM withdrawal or Internet banking messages. Also some OTPs are coming very late which is no use. ( Because OTPs are valid for 10 Min)
I Complained on Airtel Customer Care ( Dated 27.07.2015 & Customer care Executive Name - Anjum Ansari ) and they said de register your DND (do not Disturb) application. Since these are not Promotional/advertisements SMS how can airtel stop delivering these sms.
From last 3 to 4 years I activated my full Do not Disturb Service and never faced above problem. Now i am facing above problem After porting my mobile no to Airtel from Idea. Because of these i could not login to email accounts/on-line wallets, unable to do on-line money transactions etc.. Also I rechecked with my bank, Online Wallet providers and they Are confirmed that my register mobile no is same as was previous and No problem from there side.

There is hardly any call which I can complete without drops.
My contacts regularly complaint that they get 'unavailable ' message when trying to contact me.
Also my Bank SMS and OTPs have stopped. Have checked with the bank and their server is pushing the SMS but the same is not received by me.
I have been following this up for the last 3 weeks to your helpline which can be ascertained from the call log in your helpline no.
I have also followed up with my Airtel Relationship Manager, Mr Amit Das without any success.
I am self employed and thus incurring immense hardship and business loss due to poor connectivity of your network.
Also as Bank sms & OTP has stopped coming my account may get misused and who will be responsible for it?
The connectivity is bad everywhere, bit it seems it is worst when I am at home which is Parnasree, Kolkata-700 060 area of Kolkata.
I request you to resolve this issue within 72 hours. Else permit me to revert back to Vodafone .

Its been a month now that i am not receiving any banking related SMS, OTP in to my airtel mobile number.I have contacted bank in order to know whether its the bank issue or not.But the bank people have said, from their side its all fine and its the issue with the operative side.Next i ahve called and asked the airtel customer care they too told its fine.It was all fine till dec 16 2017.But after that i stopped getting banking sms, OTP etc.As i have read i came to know many of them are facing the same issue.

I am having the same issues from Airtel. Other SMS I am sure show up in a reasonable time frame. Its only when you need an SMS, Airtel manages to delay the SMS to such an extent that the payment gateway closes. It looks like a planned delay from Airtel so that customer switch from using other payment methods to the Airtel payment gateway. I have lodged a complaint with them. Lets see. I have been an Airtel postpaid customer for 13 years now. Slowly realising that Airtel is taking my business for granted. Guess porting is the way to go.
Facing the Same Issue Here i am not Receiving any OTP's on my Airtel number. The Airtel customer care is blaming the Bank side but the bank they have a clean record with number of times the OTP has been sent to my Mobile number. but the Airtel Guys they say that they dont have any records related to OTP. Struck up as i cannot make any Bank transactions without the OTP
