[Resolved]  Airtel — Postpaid to prepaid complaints regarding conversion not serviced

I requested for postpaid to prepaid conversion on 25th june 2015 at madurai airtel express center (Landmark Near Hotel Duke). I was told that the connection will be converted to prepaid in 48 hours But till the night of 29June 2015 my mobile was not converted to prepaid and even after calling several times to 121 irresponsible and acceptale answeres were given. Finally I visited Airtel express center at tiruppur (Landmark: Near Railway station). They told only on 29th june 2015 (Requested on 25th June 2015) it has been processed. I had scheduled to travel to mumbai on 30th june 2015 and i had clearly explained the situation to the concerend staff at airtel centre. Now the sim has been converted to prepaid on 30th june 2015. And i had to call 5 times to get the sim activated. I was asked to call 59059. Whenever i called they told its connected to postpaid division we will transfer to prepaid and the call got disconnected. Finally after the great struggle i have got the sim activated. I had asked for the payment of bill at the time of request to prepaid, i was told by their representative that security deposit of Rs. 300 will be adjusted and asked me to pay Rs. 100 which i had paid immediately. But now the phone is barred for outgoing saying payment for the postpaid is pending and when i called 121 they are saying i have to travel down from mumbai to madurai (1500km). After the continuous struggle with airtel for 6 days i had registered the complaint with airtel escalation team on 1st of july 2015 at 4 pm with reference number LTNM[protected]. Which i was told that it will be resolved within 24 hours. But as this was the case with airtel always as they are very unreliable and getting the experience of the most unreliable network since a month i insisted the executive to give me the exact time when this will be resolved. And he said it will be resolved by July 3rd 2015 by 8:00 AM. I never knew that it takes only 24 hours for July 1st 4pm to july 3rd 8am. Still i accepted to wait till july 3rd 8am (The so called 24 hours of airtel). And again they have not kept their word. It is not yet resolved till the evening of 3rd July 2015 7.00pm. And I made several calls regarding this to 121. One representative said it will be resolved within 4 hours another said it will be done within 72 hours and another (supervisor) said will take Tuesday night 12pm to get resolved. Airtel is careless just because they think they are number one in telecom we can play with customers. But I am using airtel for 8 years and I can say airtel is not the same as it was earlier. I am myself a banker and I see lots and lots of customers complaining about airtel and moving out of airtel. The day is not too far. Mr. Airtel remember "Too Big to Fail".
