[Resolved] Airtel — unsatisfactory service and insult to the customer by not attending the calls | |||
24/6/2014 Dear Sir My wife and I are using prepaid Airtel SIMs for the last two years. At an average we are spending Rs 750/- per SIM for communication. Very often we are getting calls from your customer care department requesting us to convert the pre-paid SIM to post -paid SIM as it will be more beneficial for us since we are spending a reasonably big amount per month for making telephonic calls. Early this year we agreed for the conversion and one person came, but since ours is a window smart phone, he said he did not know how to transfer the contact details from SIM to phone, we did not convert to post paid. After that most of the weeks we used to get call asking us to convert to post paid from different airtell employees. Finally we agreed to change one of our prepaid to post paid during last week. Accordingly one of the customer care staff by name Prabhu visited us from airtell Chungam office. He collected Rs 350/- and provided us one SIM which will have to be used once the prepaid has become inactive. He said that it would be done the next 48 hrs but nothing took place. Finally today the 24th June, ie after 4 days, I had received some verification call for my wife's ID at about 11 am and the pre paid SIM went inactive, but we couldn't use the new SIM provided by PRABHU as he said the SIM is a blank one (some kind of problem) and will arrange to send someone with a new SIM. From morning till now at 4.15PM no one came. I called PRABHU to know the status. The first call was attended and said that it will be delivered within 10 minutes. Since we did not receive the SIM I called him several times but the call was not attended, though it was ringing. This is an insult to me and customers like me. Your employee like PRABHU is responsible to attend the calls and advise us till the SIM is activated. If this is the way the AIR TELL is going to render their services, it will affect adversely to the AIR TELL popularity through customers like me from our bad experience. All o[censored]s know that there are many good companies like Idea, Aircell, BSNL etc... and it is very very easy for anyone to convert the airtel number to the new telephone company . I suggest that Airtell should train and educate people like PRABHU on how to deal with customer and provide satisfactory service, after collecting the money for the newSIM card Regards O.M.Gopinath' [protected] Was this information helpful? | |||
