Sub : Repair/Replacement of Refrigerator
Electrolux Make Model No.285 ERP Double Door

Dear Sir,

This is to draw your kind attention that I had purchased a Refrigerator of Electrolux make (Model No.285 ERP) on 8th April’06 from Great Eastern Appliances Pvt Ltd, 102, D.H. Road, Behala, Kolkata-700 034 and since then this machine has been giving trouble like, improper cooling, insulation problem, fan problem etc. and the servicing has been done by M/s. Millennium Service Centre (Authorized Service Centre of Electrolux Kelvinator), 17, Roy Bahadur Road, Kolkata-700 034.

Recently, the machine has been given to M/s. Millennium on 5th March’08 since the machine was not exhibiting proper cooling. Specially, the lower half was not at all functioning properly and as a result water was coming out from machine all the times. Since then, I have contacted so many times to your officials like Mr. Amlan Ghosh (98300 62450), Mr. Mallick (93325 05335) & Mr. Niraj (98833 82700) and nobody has given satisfactory reply.

They have confessed that they cannot rectify the cooling arrangement from inside rather they proposed to install a condenser outside which is totally non-conventional and the said proposal was rejected by undersigned.

Meanwhile, I have been offered a proposal for replacement of ‘New Freeze’ by paying some extra money after deducting the depreciation amount (two years) from the purchase price of Rs.15, 000/- (April’06). I am not ready to pay the balance amount even as the machine is a defective one from the day. So, kindly intervene and give your valuable advice immediately to your Kolkata office. Moreover, I am in terrible situation as my daughter is appearing to ICSE Exam and I am passing on the Summer days without refrigerator.

I had purchased Electrolux ER240MS Refrigerator from Kohli Digital Home, 13-14 Sanjay Gandhi Market, Jalandhar (Punjab) vide retail invoice no. 181 dated 01.08.2007. The fridge rendered good service, but it started giving troubles in few days. A complaint was lodged with the Company and mechanic visited twice but problem is still there. Unnecessary amount of water leaks daily out of compressor tray. Mechanics are unable to solve this problem. Please help us. I have approached you with the belief that you will look into the matter and take steps that the customers are dealt with promptly, which the essence of customer
service and the source of best publicity at no cost.

We had purchased refrigerate from dealer in delhi (Mohan Singh Market) and we are facing problem of cooling from same day of purchase and till now. when we complaint to your complaint office they didn't listen.
what is your company's (kelvinator) management of service center.i am very fedup from your company's service . Even they changed the compressor as it was under warranty period and fiiled some gas to improve cooling but again after 3 months all in vain . KIndly do the needeful asap and really pissed off.

I fully agree with the poor quality of the refrigerator and equally poor after sales service.My 4 year old fridge required gas filling, replacement of sensor and timers twice and still the performance is not optimum. Am regretting having bought this internatonal brand of fridge.

Dear Sir,
I purchased a Stainless Steel Electrolux MIcrowave in 2005. I am very unhappy with the bad quality of the equipment. Though the outer body is of Stainless Steel, the inside body of the microwave have rusted due to defect in manufacturing. The Microwave is used rarely and such bad quality from a reputed company like Eletrolux-Videocon in unexpected. The service engineer was unable to repair the problem. As a result I have stopped purchasing other Electrolux-Videocon products.

Sub: Repair of My Refregerator DFF40

Dear Sir,

I had purchased an Electrolux Refregerator DFF40 from New Delhi. I started having problems since the first month. Since the Refregerator was under warranty, I was getting the service.

Sometime in the beginning of last year (2008), the PCB Card stopped working & I paid Rs.4200.00 for the new card. Again In the month of June 2008, the PCB card again stopped working. I was asked to pay approx Rs.4200.00 towards the cost of a new one by the service dealer (Royal Refregeration) who came to attend the complaint, which I again paid. The card was changed but it again stopped working within a month. It was again changed by Royal Refregeration (this time without any cost).

Again in the month of January 2009, it stopped working again & this time the service engineer from Raga Refregeration turned up for repairs. He said he would get back to us the next day with the information if the same could be changed under warranty but he never bothered to get back.

Since we were going out of Delhi that day, we instructed our maid to get it repaired when he came. We returned last week to Delhi and to our surprise, the refregerator was still in the same state & nobody ever came to repair it.

Today I again made a fresh complaint (No. DEL 1002090084)and the same person from Raga Refregeration came to attend the complaint. I asked him why he did not come back in January when we had compalined. Instead of answering my question, he asked me: "Madame ne aapko phone nahi kiya? Bhool gayi hongi."

I do not know which Madam he was refering to. I am astonished at the callous & casual behaviour of your service dealers.

I am of the opinion that the dealers are repairing the PCB cards & passing them on to the customers as new & also charging them for the new PCB Card.

I sincerely request you to please look into this matter & have somebody repair our Refregerator once & for all. All this is giving, an international brand like Electrolux, a bad name in the market which I am sure is not what we look forward to.
