[Resolved]  Aircel — Activate DND but still they receiving promotional calls and SMS

Hi,

I have a Gurgaon Aircel number [protected]. I activated DND service on 28 Jan 2010 by sending a SMS ' START DND' to 1909. Hence after 13 March 2010 ( 45 days after activation of service) I should not recieve any promotional call or SMS from Aircel. But still I am recieving unwanted and unasked promotional calls and promotional SMS which is very disturbing and annoying. Its my request to guide me to further action against it.

Aircel — Regarding promotional calls

I m a Aircel costumer since last october 2009.These service provider use to do a lot of promotional calls for their offers and schemes. under this, they activate my dialer tone service without my consent. i file a complaint in customer care services on 22/03/10. with complaint number [protected]. they assure me to sort out my problem upto 24/03/10. but now they refuse to refund my balance. As these promotional calls are against TRAI norms. i want a strict action against these, as they hurt trust of their consumers.
Balance are deducted once any service is activated for your side and promotional calls or messages can be the cause when responded, your solution would be to get your DND service activated which will block all such calls and messages.
You are quite correct, there is possibly no fault on your side, must be some technical matter because of which you are still getting the calls, I would suggest you to call them up again and try to know the status of your DND activation

Aircel — Promotional Call received

I already Activated by DND on March 9, 2010 Reg No S[protected]. message shows " all the promotional Communications to your aircel mobile should stop by April 23, 2010.

After April 23, 2010 till now i received many promotional calls from aircel office. The last call i received was on June 1, 2010 on 12:04pm Phone no [protected]

Hence after 25 September 2010 ( 45 days after activation of service) I should not recieve any promotional call or SMS from Aircel. But still I am recieving unwanted and unasked promotional calls and promotional SMS which is very disturbing and annoying. Its my request to guide me to further action against it.

Aircel — excessive promotional calls

My Aircel no. is [protected]. I am very disappointed with the excessive promotional calls from Aircel. It keeps on disturbing me every 10 minutes. These computerised calls are not less than 50 in a day. I do not want any more calls from the company.

I had activated DND and was happy for about a year, since there was no junk SMS.
But recently one SMS with GNEWSNDTV id started flodding my SMS inbox. I called customer support and asked the person about this SMS, he simply acts like an robot and says send START DND to 1909. I tried to convince him that I did that and my number is already registered and I confirmed it at TRAI site. Please give me a complain number about this perticular ID so that I can take up the case to TRAI.
But he refuses to give any complain number and keeping murmuring that same line "send START DND to 1909". Its very annoying. If any user has any idea about GNEWSNDTV ID please communicate me on this forum.
