[Resolved] Airtel And Tata DoCoMo — DELAY IN PORTING OF MOBILE NUMBER FROM AIRTEL TO TATA DOCOMO | |||
DEAR SIR, THIS IS REGARDING MOBILE NUMBER PORTABILITY (MOBILE NUMBER [protected]). I HAVE SUBMITTED NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR MOBILE NUMBER PORTABILITY FROM AIRTEL TO TATA DOCOMO ON 04 FEB TO LOCAL RETAILER AFTER GETTING UNIQUE PORTING id ON 01 FEB2011. THE EXPIRY DATE FOR THE SAME IS 16 FEB 2011 AND THAT IS TODAY. AND SO FAR NOTHING HAS HAPPENED. IN THIS REGARD I CALLED THE CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVES OF BOTH THE SERVICE PROVIDERS MANY TIMES AND THERE IS NO POSITIVE RESPONSE FROM BOTH SIDES. BOTH THE SIDES ARE JUST ASKING TO CALL THE OTHER SERVICE PROVIDERS(AIRTEL/DOCOMO) AND THERE IS NO SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM. FOR YOUR REFERANCE I JUST SPOKE TO Mr. PUKHRAJ, CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE OF DOCOMO, HE ASKED ME TO DO THE SAME i.e TO CALL AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE. WHEN I SAID THAT I WILL COMPLAINT IN THE CONSUMER FORUM. THEN HE SAID HE IS CONNECTING TO HIS HIGHER SUPERVISOR FOR THE SAME. I KEPT THE MOBILE ON HOLD FOR 15 MINUTES AND THEN THE CALL AUTOMATICALLY DISCONNECTED FROM THEIR SIDE. MARELY PASSING BILLS IN PARLIAMENT DOESN'T CREATE THE SERVICES STREAM LINE. FOR THIS, THERE IS URGENT REQUIREMENT TO PUNISH SUCH SERVICE PROVIDERS WITH SUSPENSION OF THAT FIRM. THEN ONLY ALL THE SERVICE PROVIDERS CAN COME ON LINE. OTHERWISE THIS WILL KEEP ON HAPPENING WITH THE TODAYS CUSTOMER. I WANT YOU TO TAKE NECESSARY ACTION. Was this information helpful? | |||

hi...i wanna change my network from airtel to tata docomo...could u please help me about the process(instructions) i need to follow.
yes now my request has been resolved. you must follow up ur request after submitting documents. You must speak to customer care regularly, although they don't listen. Note down the name of customer care executives and put up complaint in consumer forum. You have to get behind them, then only they will release the network.
Airtel is one of the worst service providers in India. I had easily ported my idea no +91 [protected] to Airtel. Now since I am not happy with their services, I opted for porting to Tata Docomo. I gave the application on 25th April... for some reason or the other Airtel never stoped their service. I called the customer care they said some services are active and asked me to use RC12. I did that. Then they told me that they will do the porting on 7th July. Today it is 11th July and the porting has never happened.
Airtel guys are crasy. When someone is not happy with your services u should let them go. But these useless guys give all kinds of tensions to the customers. Every time I go to their Koramangala center I hear someone shouts at there.
If the concerned people in Airtel take a little salt in their meals let them satisfy their customers

I AM HAVING A PROBLEM AGAINST AIRTEL.I ACTIVATED RS.53 SMS CARD FROM MY NUMBER ITSELF. ON THE SPOT I WAS CHARGED RS.53 FOR IT BUT BENEFITS REGARDING FREE SMS HAVE NOT BEEN PROVIDED YET.I CALLED SO MANY TIMES TO CUSTOMER CARE BUT ALL IN VAIN. AIRTEL IS PROVIDING WORST SERVICES AND I AM VERY MUCH DISAPPOINTED FROM THAT.

I had the same issue.
From Docomo, I got a message which reads like this:
Your request has been rejected due to contractual obligation. Pls contact your existing service provider.
I tried contacting Airtel- No response at all. Later I got a call from one of the Docomo agency and they told me to resend the porting request and tell them the Unique Porting ID. They said porting will be complete within next 7 days. Till now I din't get any response at all. My Mobile no. is [protected]
