[Resolved]  Airtel Digital TV — Horrible customer service experience

Hello,

I'm a customer of Airel since long time and recently got Airtel Digital TV (HD) from Airtel. Since the day I bought, I had problems and nothing else.

The customer service number,[protected] doesnt respond properly. Since 3 days, I'm trying to call them and log a complaint as my digital TV is not working due to bad weather. Finally a complaint was registered yesterday (11th May 2013) and i was told that it'll be resolved by 12th May morning 10 AM but until now it is not resolved.

I got a call from some service engineer who doesn't know the route to my place. He is a localite and doesn't even know the landmark i was mentioning. Then he dropped the call on my face saying he can't come today, will see later. Is this the way your service engineer behave?

I had local connection before (Hathway) but never had complaints and if any glitches, were promptly addressed. I went for Airtel as I heard good feedback on service and also for HD quality. But now I'm disappointed and the service sucks.

Airtel — Worst experience on the Customer service provided by Airtel

I am fed up with the service provided by the Airtel. I have been played like a football and still no resolution. My billed amount on the mobile services and datacard services was an error. To get this corrected, I have made not less than 10 calls to the customer care executives. Very sad to say that each time I get a new customer care executive and each one of them have given me different numbers and email ids to launch the complaint.

Utter nonsense service with no solution. I am totally completely frustrated but the executives are simply least bothered, with no knowledge in what they are doing.

It is a very sad state that even the floor head and supervisors have only basic informations of giving new numbers and email ids to launch the complaint. nobody ever has any solutions to provide except to escape from the call by passing it to another number.

Airtel — In expereinced Customer Service

Hi,

I have raised a request on March 3rd saying that I need a hard copy of my airtel 6 months payment statement. Service request no. 27009357 dated 03/03/2009. But they have send a soft copy to my mailid on 08/03/2009. Unfortunately I was out of country and unable to reach airtel so I replied them back asking for hard copy for which they have not replied me back. I was back on 15th March and called customer care at around 18:00:00 on 15/03/2009. The representative said to me that the request i raised was for soft copy and not hard copy, when I insisted him to take out the audio conversation he directed me to his manager by Name Syed. After checking my request Syed agreed that i have requested for hard copy and not a soft copy and he was so sorry from there end and will send me the hard copy again. But my last date for submission was 16th March, Therefore, I requested him to send in a mail to my official office ID and my finance team saying that I have made the payments and due to some misunderstanding they delayed to send the hard copy. So I can take a grace period of 3 days in office and he agreed took all the mail id and said it will be done by 16/03/2009 6:00 pm. I called up customer care again on 16/03/2009 5:00 pm and Chandrika(representative) has agreed that they are going to send the mail in about 1 or 2 hours. I called again at 6:30 pm and by name Nitin as lifted the call and redirected it to Azharuddin.

This person was a Floar Manager and he says that it will not be possible to send in a mail now and they will send the hard copy only, when I said how come Syed can promise of doing so, he replied saying that talk to him only, he is busy and will call you in another 4 hours. What should I do by sitting for 4 hours in office. Also he said that my intial request was for soft copy and not hard copy. See The Airtel Customer care are changing there own words and there promises, because of this false promises I am loosing 8000 rs. Who will bare this? I Can ago to any court to prove that It was the mistake done by airtel people and I will stop paying the money until my 8000 is recovered.

I am not able to view any channel even also paid channel.If any body is going for digital tv never go
for airtel products.It is all my personal experience.If number one award has to be given for horible
customer service i think airtel will be at number one.

This is regarding the poor customer prepaid card service provided by Airtel.
I have purchased and activated the GPRS Unlimited plan (RS 98).I have activated the GPRS service but was not able to use the internet on my Blackberry curve 8310.I had sent the message "MO" to get the GPRS Settings.The message i recieved by Airtel after that "DEAR CUSTOMER ,YOUR HANDSET SUPPORTS AIRTEL LIVE, MMS ,GPRS.For settings please call 12118".First of all this 12118 never get connected.Whenever i dial 12118,it get connected to 121.When i go through 121 and talk to the technical cutomer executive of GPRS ,he again say to connect to 12118 .What a horrible thing? I again called up to get the assistance but than the executive has provided me the wrong number "7070" .This number doesn't exist.I also tried one more number that is [protected] which is for technical Blackberry services assistance but that no. is only for the post paid services.I explained everything to the customer executives but again they give me all that information.I took this card only for using the GPRS on my BLACKBERRY CURVE 8310.Almost 10 times i have tried and called. By seeing the behaviour and the poor services of the AIRTEL ,I believe in future i will not be considering any products from the Airtel.

Please think twice before you buy airtel digital tv. Good offeres are available but after sale there is no service to the customer since service part is completely outsourced. Their engineers are updating the resulution without even visiting customer place. Every time you call customer care you will lost your patience.No one will pick the line to respond. I even approached their nodal officer to sort out the issue, nodal team is very supportive but service department team is so smart to update fake informations like address not found, closed the issue over the phone, customer not available... etc... You will get service request number on sms with location FPRs contact number which is useless. not picking the line or not even responding to the text

AirTel — Horrible customer service

My airtel DTH tv is not working. I had called the customer care several times and they had mentioned that they would be sending someone to my house to check. 12 days havealready passed by, and no one is bothered to rectify our problem.
this is a horrible experience. Airtel is offering horrible services it seems and is not bothered about customer satisfaction. We are just wasting our money on something which doesnt work. Please let me know if you can do something about this problem or not and send someone to check the problem
Our address is Kharghar and want someone to come and check the antenna as we are getting error code 4.

AirTel — AIRTEL IS HORRIBLE

I am having hell lot of problems with customer care and also with airtel providers as such... They are a pain in the neck... I did not opt for any hello tune service, but i had two times deducted with the amount. And also the sms fecility is bad... Even for a local sms.. They charge rupees two.. This has happned number of times... When i try to contact the customer care guys... They listen to everything and later disconnect the call.. And when i exceed three times to reach and talk to them... All i get to know is ".. To know ur balance, press *123*8#".. What a ridiculout service it is. I want my money to be credited in my accouint and also know why u people do such things... Also tell me about the sms thing... If i am not getting my answer, i have to take action against you guys, i have to complaint to the customer complaint cell... I am very serious on this matter. Talk to me and resolve this matter asap.

AirTel — Horrible Customer Care Service

Whenever i call to file a complaint the customer care guy will tell me that the complaint cannot be filed since the system is under upgradation. This has happened 2 times in the last 3 days when i called to lodge a complaint. Just now, five minutes back, also i called and was informed that the system is under upgradation. I believe that this is just a cheap and pathetic attempt by the customer care and by the company to avoid noting the complaints. If not i would like to know what upgradations happen so often on Airtel that bars only complaints to be filed for 2 Hours. if this is the amount of time that you will take each day to upgrade may be you should just drop the complaint center or better to just shut down the complany itself since i dont think you can support your customers.
The way that you work is get the complaint out from here and then do nothing. Hence whatever details you require, please ask here and i will answer.

Airtel digital tv customer service is so bad that ideally they should stop it, as it is creating the company more bad than good.

I have register my complaint on 9 aug and since then i was told than it will resolved next day..but as at the time of writing nothing has been resolved..Also, airtel is cheating me by deducting 10 rs everyday from my account despite i am not using the services...also they told me that i will not get my money back..meaning they will not give me money back..i have registered following complaint since 9 aug:
