I am using airtel mobile office sevice for 2-3 months. Its downloading speed is the poorest of any of the Internet service. In this service I even could not download a content of size 2-3 MB, since either it take 5-6 hour to download or it gets disconnected during downloading. This is the worst internet providing service since it consumes not only the money of the customers but also the 'TIME' of the customer.

airtel mobile office service is so so so so bad in gobardanga under habra, per month 8 to 10 days we have no service of mobile office. & speed ???????? so so so so slow . again and again we complain customer care they have no respons and said that upgrading problenms .We have to be know that when this problems will recover? .After all Rs498/month we recharge

Yes I got a helluva bitter experience from AIRTEL GPRS service ,
every time their representative say u will get service in hour / 4 hour/ 72 hour deference answer every time though i cannot used service of mobile office but my rental was cut every day till today... and when U wanna to access their CC service (Now your call is being connected to your Customer ............. .....Dinng dong nice music " Plz write ur whole quarry with sms 121 .Or Thank U for calling Us Have nice Day !!!!! it's quiet insulting isn't it? same default voice repeated ........ If you are lucky you BYCHANCEly meet their GPRS CARE SERVICE 4 asking ur point , quarry ,solution , information same config same settings they informed you They help manually settings Step by step. But ................ since for last 12days my handset doesn't appear any GPRS Signal............... I change my hand set with several model like Nokia 6681,7610, 6600 or N-series, But it's still as it is........ Now I just burn in hell.

Rediffmail, Yahoo, Airtel — Charges for internet on mobile

I recently got a PDA phone and was shocked to find that Rediffmail and Yahoo alongwith Airtel will charge me Rs 7 per 1/2 hr for access of my mail on my phone!!
This is completely ridiculous! Hotmail, Gmail are FREE.
Under MRTP law it is a restrictive trade practice since rediff and yahoo claim the service is FREE when you access it on a regular PC.
If more of you feel the same, lets go to consumer court!!

I am Ravi Kumar from Purnea, Bihar. I am prepaid user of Airtel my mobile no is [protected]. I have Mobile office GPRS connection on this number since last three months. when I was connect it working on proper speed browsing on 9 to 20 KBsec and downloading at 5 to 8 KBsec but from last 20 days its speed fall down under 1 to 3 KBsec. In this speed not a single site opens properly. One things I notice that when I got another tower (My friends house) my net working very fast as it working at first time but when I came on my tower it become again very slow. When my friend comes on my house with his mobile (mobile office activated) his net also become very slowly so I think there must be any problem in my tower. Airtel tower’s distance from my house is only 500 meter to 700 meter but why such type of problem with me I do not know.

I have paid for data card on Monday and was told that it will be active on or by today after perusing this matter for long time I was told that the system is down for last two days and my documents have still not been processed. This will take another day or two. I fail to understand what is wrong in this matter why am I not getting services even after paying upfront. Airtel — GPRS Mobile OFFICE Activation Delay

Hello,
We purchased new Airtel number [protected] to use Mobile OFFice GPRS service. My account is deducted with 250Rs but I didn't receive the setting SMS till date. After contacting customer support they assure everyday 24hrs but it's more than 2 weeks nothing happened. Airtel Customer Service is very poor and support people are not responsible in their work. it's requested to concern management to look into it and take proper action to activate the mobile office immediately without any delay.

i am nIRMAL FROM BIHAR .but now i am at delhi on roming i was actually looking forward for using airtel unlimited gprs scheme mobile office for that i called 121 but i could not talk to the customer care executive i was asked to sms my query at 121 and i did.
The problem is money for using Mobile office has been deducted from my account but i have not been able to use it. when i try to connect i get error message saying GPRS not available check n/w services by connection not available. i got reply from 121 that gprs was already active on my mobile but when i smsed MO to 2567 again i got a reply saying this service is not enabled on my mobile. what wrong please help me.

my name is aditya raghunath veer my airtel mob.no is [protected] (prepaid) i had activated GPRS on date 27 sep.2008
mobile office serives but from activation of GPRS i unable to use net i have all setting and every thing. i had complait for thi s two time in customer care center but still there is no improvement my reference number is [protected]
and they have applied charges for the GPRS which i had never used.

I will be publishing a detailed blog on this issue very soon. First of all, I should tell that initially I was also having same problem. But one day I got its solution: "Miss call solution". It solved my issue. Now I download 19 Gb (avg.) data in a month. I connect my mobile with PC with bluetooth. I am very satisfied with Airtel Mobile Office. I have got maximum o[censored]pto 35Kbps speed. Average of data download is 70 Mb in an hour plus 12 Mb data upload. As a solution, you should give a miss call on the number being used for internet, press call button on that number and disconnect/ end call immediately. It will surely help you and increase speed as said. I am going to publish a blog very soon. Also continue downloading uninterrupted, once you stop downloading, you will have to repeat the steps again.

I am using airtel mobile office for the past 2 years. From then i am trying to download an antivirus program but still now i cant download it. Either the connection hangs, disconnects or simply dead. I have compared all internet connection available and for this rate of cost, this is the best worst speed of connection having an average of 4kbps. It is not at all suitable for an ordinary browsing. I dont know how to do mobile office work. I requested airtel several times for upgrading speed of the connection. But they are complaining about my handset. I am using nokia n70 handset and they dont accept. According to airtel, I think nokia n70 is not an advanced set. Better airtel can manufacture a handset for using mobile office connection. The usage of airtel mobile office connection not only consumes more money, but also consumes the greatest valuable time of the customers.
So I welcome all the airtel mobile office users to come forward to place enormous comments and let we see what action airtel is going to take for this issue.

Airtel Mobile — mobile office

I requested my airtel mobile office pack to be canclled on 23 january at customer care, my no is [protected], then i went out for a few days, and agin i checked for it on 10 feb, the customer care guy told me that it is still active and it will be decativated by 13 feb before 1 pm.When i again called up airtel customer care on 13 feb 10 pm, i was told it was still active, and they will deactivate before 16 feb.This is a pathetic service by airtel, this experience has made me to think o swithching to some other network, i have 10 connections in total.I would say airtel is the worst in customer care
Sir I use AirTel mobile Office connection with Samsung X200 Modem and it provide me 230.4kbps speed for internet using PC,

My mobile no. is [protected] and I am availing the mobile office service in nokia5310(xpressmusic) for 4 months. The speed shows in the computer 460.80 kbps/s but it seems like 40 to 50kbps/s., which is very very poor. The cost is taken Rs.35/- per day which is very high. The other network gives better speed in the same tarriff. So you are requested to improve the speed to higher.

even i talked with three or 4 supervisor of airtel gprs department so far,

but still no any solution yet,

    Airtel Mobile Services — No network

    When Airtel was launched I bought a lot of Mobile numbers from Airtel Mobile Services. Infact a few I bought by paying a premium price. Latter I started having network problems. At my office I never recieve network till date. I have more then 15 Airtel numbers. Each time I call their customer care they just seem to tell me some one from the other department will call back but there is never any call back or follow up from the company.

    They are very very laid back.

    I would like to take this matter to court. Please suggest.
    My 199 Corporate plan was changed to 299 plan without initimating or permission from me. I got it reverted to 199 plan. But they are charging me for my itemized service which was free for me previously. The customer care is reluctant to solve this problem. They don't give a satisfactory reply. What is to be done in this case.

    some authorized airtel prepaid recharging shops are charging extra money if you ask them either for coupon or recharge through sms.its so disappointing to see a company as big as airtel filing to keep a check on these people.i came to know recently that they shouldn't be charging any extra money.i hope something is done .

My son lodged a complain with the customer care no [protected] through his mobile no [protected] at 21:30 on[protected], an absurd reply was received that my complain has been registered & will be replied before 06 Feb 2009.It is not understood that who will be held responsible for the losses incurred due to such a long interruption of the service. You are requested to immediately intimate the reasons for interruption of my service so as to enable me to take proper action at the earliest in order to rectify the fault at my end if any.

    AirTel — Unavailability of network

    My mobile is unreachable for most part of the day, in my own office !

    My office is on the 9th Floor of a 22 storeyed bldg in a vicinity (New Link Road) full of corporate offices such as Balaji Telefilms, Yashraj Studios, Fun Republic, K Raheja, Shah Industrial estate etc.

    The network is very inconsistent & many calls are lost Mid-way. The same has been experienced by other Airtel users in my office as well.

    Despite repeated complaints & acknowledgements over the past few months there has been no respite.

    Airtel prepaid Mobile Phone service — Fault not rectified

    Prepaid mobile service — Unnecessarily charging me

Without my consent Airtel is taking away all my balance in the mobile, after I topup my mobile and they keep adding features like caller tune and other services which I never opted for. They take out Rs20,Rs.30 and so on. This is ridiculous. Iam not able to reach a customer service agent to tell this because I need some balance in my mobile to call them which I couldn't since they take away all my money so I am scared to recharge my mobile. Please remove all unsolicited features added to my number and refund my money. If not I will be moving to the consumer court.

            On march 24th i personally went to the customer care office in vashi in mumbai and submitted all the documents and NOC to transfer the account holder name. They said verification would be done within 15 days and god knows wat happened till now no person has come to verify and even the account holder is the same. Inspite of me calling to the customer care people guys they say u need to go and contact the office where we submitted the documents.
            And how do they think like that. To submit the documents i have taken leave and again to meet them regarding this again i have to take leave bull .
            People in the office dont respond correctly . They dont listen to customers. It is not the case with me only, it is the same even with my friends who use this airtel service. I dont know whether they will be a change in their service.

            Even after reading this i hope they send a reply to this query.

              Yes i too agree with you. I too am having problems with AIrtel. I did not ask for jokes to be on my cell. I am forced to pay Rs. 15./ for this service which I dont want or do I have time to read jokes sent by Airtel. I WANT THIS SERVICE TO BE DEACTIVATED IMMEDIATLEY AND MY 15 RS BACK IN MY ACCOUNT. I AM AFRAID EVEN TO RECHARGE MY PREPAID BECAUSE OF THIS.

                Reference:: My Number [protected]

                Dear Sir,

                It all started with a message which I received on 15.02.2008 which was

                “Mirror Number! Airtel has reserved [protected] especially for you till 20-Feb-08, For details send DET to 170(free) or call 12123 (free). To opt, send BOOK to 171.”

                On 18.02.2008, the same message was again displayed. By this time thought that this was really interesting having a mirror number. I sent a sms DET at 170, for which the reply was “This information is not available at the moment . please try after some time.”

                I called up at 12123 and got the bill plan. It suited me and I decided to go for it.

                Then the real problem started. From 18.02.2008 I might have send message more than 100 times till 20.02.2008 but every time I got a reply “Thank you for your interest in Airtel’s new 99 series. This offer is currently not valid, we will contact you when the offer is available. Thank you.” In between I called up several times to your 121 customer Service, I got different types of answers each time e.g
                -please try after some time
                -the system is not working presently
                - the date has been extended till 25th Feb, please try after one or two days.
                - Please go to a Airtel outlet and they will give you the SIM after paying Rs 799, etc.

                On 20th Feb, I went to the Airtel outlet HI-LINE, but only then I came to know that there is a password/ reference number, which was to be produced.
                I talked to your customer care from there itself, and I was told that your booking has already been done and the SIM will be dispatched to your address. Having this information I was convinced, and waited for another two days, bur that courier never came.
                In the mean time I received yet another SMS for reserving the mirror number on 23.02.2008. Same message, only difference was the date was extended till 29.02.2008.

                I again talked to your 121 service on 23.02.2008 regarding the SIM (which according to the earlier conversation should have reached by that time). To my surprise I was told that there is no such booking made. To my getting furious the operator transferred me to Mr. Arjun Singh, I explained him the entire situation and he assured me to get into the matter and resolve it within 24 hrs.
                I then got an SMS on 26/02/2008 at 8.07 PM as:
                “We hope that you are satisfied with the resolution provided for your request. Your reference number is[protected]”
                I confirmed to your office regarding the number if it was the password for the mirror number. I got the answer in affirmative.

                To my great satisfaction, on 27.02.2008 I went to your outlet at HI-LINE at M-5 Connaught Place, New Delhi, they also took the reference number got me filled the Customer Enrolment Form, took Rs. 799/- and gave me the SIM bearing number[protected], with an assurance that the number will be activated by the same evening.
                When the number was not activated even after a day, I again called up customer care and got different answers each time. “It will take 24 hrs, It will take three days, It will take three working days, etc”
                Then finally a call from Mr Shahid from HI-LINE saying that it cannot be done because your reference number is 9 digit whereas it should be 6 digit number (as if I was the person who created the reference number).

                I had to every time repeat my whole story to your customer care executive to state my problem, I DON’T KNOW HOW MANY TIMES, but nothing happened.

                It may be noted that IT WAS AIRTEL’S OFFER TO ME FOR A MIRROR NUMBER, WHICH I ACCEPTED AND AIRTEL HAS MADE A JOKE OF ME.

                  Before 1 month I have activated GPRS on my mobile(Biggest mistake in my life).
                  After 4 days I have send msg for deactivation, but request was not confirmed for deactivation.
                  Thenafter I have regular deduction on my account balance for GPRS.
                  I have make many call to Airtel Customer Care representatives, but they only refund my balance, & fail to stop wrongly deduction from my account. If Airtel is really unable to solve this small problem, they have to shut down their business.

                      he said that between 24 to 48 hours u will get remain balances. But after

                        i am pradeep jain (dhoka) and my mobile no is [protected]

                        the problem is that on 6th april at 9 pm i activated gprs
                        (mobileoffice) on my phone.

                        and on 8th April i have deactivated my service of gprs at 5pm by
                        calling customer care.

                        then the customer care person said it is been deactivated by them .

                        but the next day i.e from 9th April airtel is charging 14.99rs daily
                        to me for gprs.

                        after calling to customer care they told due to technical error it has
                        not been deactivated so i will get refund .

                        but next day the same issue is going on and from that day after
                        calling to customer care couple of times they did not took any action
                        on it.

                        due to no action i went to airtel gallery in mumbai at chembur diamond
                        garden tere i meeted mr basant i told my problem to him and he told
                        the amt will be refunded (at that time my refund amt was rs 60)

                        after 3 days the same issue is going than i contacted the branch
                        manager of airtel's diamond garden branch of chembur.

                        she told that ur sevice of gprs will be deactivated within 6 hours and
                        my refund amt of 120 rs till that day will also be refunded to me .

                        and after 5 hrs my service of gprs was been deactivated by them but
                        the refund was till not been given to me.

                        now the issue is that the amt of 120 rs is till not yet been transferred to me.

                        so i request u to contact airtel and do the needful!

                            I was having a postpaid connection of airtel (Airtel Number) [protected] from last 2-2.5 years and have been making a regular payment online through internet

                            I carried the number with me when I went abroad and made a payment of my transaction in Nov 2007 after which I did not made any payments as I did not receive any bills.

                            I changed the address and gave the contact number of my family for any issue/concern when suddenly I heard that a lady named “Simran” from airtel is calling them and harassing them continuously

                            I talked to the lady from USA couple of times and asked her to first open my online account so that I can make an early payment but she said it is closed and she cannot, then I asked her to send the copy of my bill at my email id for verification. Similarly I had a talk with the customer care representative While I was talking with the lady named "Simran" from airtel customer care service and was dealing with the issues through email with someone name 'Anil Kohli" from airtel(mail id [protected]@rediffmail.com) my parents panicky informed me that some lawyer has called up and had asked them to made a payment as some case has been filed against me at teeashazari court in delhi and there will be lot of issues if I don't make the payment. My parents hurriedly made a payment of[protected]Bill amount)+1300(lawyer fee))


                            Can somebody from airtel tell me as why these happened when I was trying to make a payment, I did not got the chance to verify the details before which my parents had to forcefully made a payment and why I had to pay the fee for the lawyer when I was not escaping from making a payment How can I make a payment if don't receive the bill I don't validate it.

                            This is sheer harassment since I am not in India and airtel guys were harassing my parents those who don't know actually what happened.

                            Airtel is using wrong powers to harass innocent citizens of India, I want to take this issue seriously, otherwise I will take the case to consumer court for mental harassment and forcefully issuing a case against me and taking the money through recovery agents from my parents

While I took this new connection, I had some issues related to Network slow access. and also I logged 2/3 complains for this. These complaints are not resolved at client end. so I could not get my issue resolved. But instead of solving the issue in client END the complaint status became resolved from airtel service department END.

                            As I could not use this my USB, I finally close my Airtel connection permanently. and this number is recycled now.

                            I had blackberry service with Airtel until November 2009.
                            I changed my plan from blackberry service to regular phone service in Nov, 2009; during that time I asked them to cancel all value added services associated with blackberry as well as regular phone. Since I already had multiple Airtel mobile (and landline) services, all I wanted was a plain vanilla service on this line.

                            The billing problems started from then onwards; I have had numerous complaints made to their call center as well as through e-mails. All I kept getting was reminders from their billing dept. When I explain to them the problem, my complaints and the proof through e-mail trails, they will tell me that they will get back to me; never to hear again until some one else calls me to remind me to pay the erroneous bill.

                            Finally they disconnected my service and adjusted my huge deposit in nov, 2010.

                            Bottom line - their billing department sucks and intransigent.

                            Until then my Airtel bills were more than 10, 000 per month; I am now canceling Airtel services one at a time and going to other providers who are much more responsive.

My total balance was Rs.133/-. When checked at 12.00am, the balance was only Rs.9.77/-. There are no schemes activated. I also tried to complain the same on 121 but the executive picks up the call & no one answers the call even though we can hear them talking.This is done upto 3 times after which we are not able to contact the customer care.                               i was travelling in train from Raigarh to Nizamudin on 17 oct 09 , i called 121 to know the top up offer in airtel. while i was crossing from Rajasthan or up border . They informed me that in Rs 220/- top up i will get Rs 210/- as my balance. so i called my father to recharge in delhi. he did for me but i didnt received any balance. on talking to the customer care they told me that since my number is from chattisgarh so i would get chattisgarh offers only. according to that i got a talktime of 660 Rs for local calls only that too only for 4 days. but i have to be in Gurgaon for those 4 days so i cant get any balance out of it.
                              when i am calling to local customer care they are saying that you have to call to chattisgarh branch. when i am calling in chattisgarh branch they are simply saying that they cant do anything about it. i even talked to the local adhikari of airtel in chattisgarh , he also lifted his hand . i am left help less.
                              my money is gone . without any balance. if i would have known that offer , i would have never opted for it.

On 24 i have given the application of disconnecting my connection by giving all my privious due which is not more than 600/- per months after clearing all the dues they convert my plan but not disconnect it after a month i have received a huge bill of 4000/- which is above my imagination of giving it . After migration of my plan they does not sent any any executive for disclosing the condition of plan . The plan is continue, without knowing any knowledge of it.After knowing abut the plan, then i went to the same office again & gave the another migration plan which has been migrated to 499 plan unlimited on 15 september 2009 at collection executive DILIP but migration not logged because of carelessness of your officer after a month later i have got a next bill which also a very high amount far away of my income. Now I AM not ready to pay that high amount of bill which is the result of carelessness of your officer DILIP . I have all proof about it . Ihave receiving also of disconnecting & migration receipt . I want adjustments as soon as possible otherwise i am going to Telcom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) I am your very old customer and paiying all the bills of my other four connection . Please redeemed it as soon as possible .

                                  I am Airtel prepaid consumer since january 2008, other teleconnection cost more for ISD thats why i took Airtel, i was satisfied, i used to make ISD call to perticular one no., while making call i found that 8-10 times the call receive automatically in 01secs/02secs(Febuary-March), and my balance get deducted from the main balance, i complained twice, thrice, at last they refunded all the balance, in between April 1st week i didnt get such type of problem, but again it happens, now its a regular prosecess, and the call summary is upto 1min.01secs. On 4/5th April i gave complain, the costomer executive says its Friday so its imposible to process the complain after 2days you call we will slove it when i asked why???? they replied as tomorow is Saterday & day after that is Sunday Offfice used to closed these 2days. On Saterday /Sunday also i faced the Same problem. So again i called on 8th April in the first hours but they said system is in procesing call after 15-20mins. then in the 2nd hrs They gave me a complain no. [protected] on dated 8/04/08 & another complain no.[protected] and said within two days you will get ur money back but that doen't happened, again i called them they asked my name & phone number, in proof i gave my deiving lince for indenty proof & my house electric bill for residental proof, but now they refused me to give back my deduced balance, as the Mobile no. doesn't match according to their system, How is it possible ??? if so then where are my documents ?????? again the same problem is arising they are not shorting my problem and not refunding my balance, i want they should refund me the balance which is deducded automaticaly, i want to make complain against this company, Costomer Care executives Named Joti Ranjan Mahapatra, Chandan ku Das, Aradna Sen, Gingyasa, they are not perfect to their commitments, their Senior Excuitive are not avaliable in their office since 4-6hrs as when ever i asked them to talk with their seniors they used to answer me they are not their in office. please if their is any law to then please PLEASE HELP ME!!!

                                  Airtel Prepaid — Deducting bal for auto activation of text msgs

                                  I was out of the country for 2.5 months and while on my trip to USA, everday bal of rs 9/- deducted frm the a/c. for auto activation of some alerts from 290603 giving alerts of some bollywood news and thought for the day. Which i have not even subscribed for. First of all the prepaid cell outgoing doesnt work in USA and to top it all the sms cost is 25-50Rs per sms. Do you think anyone would send msgs to activate such rubbish things while on international roaming.? And after registering a complaint with the customer care they tell me that they will not refund the money since its a complaint related to last month which they cannot do anything about. Also after the agent saying that he has deactivated the service and registering the complaint they again cut rs.6/- frm the balance the same evening. This calls for a serious issue to be raised against Airtel. They are deducting money for services which we have not even activated. Airtel Sucks big time...

                                    I am regular user of the Airtel GPRS.it is now providing very slow speed for internet connectivty, it has only 2kbps to 5kbps, but the other compnies like IDEA provide the GPRS internet connectivity at 60kbps to 85kbps in only charge of "15 rupees"per day with unlimited plan.it make big diffrence between Airtel and IDEA, therefore many consumers turned arroud with the other companies GPRS.so please do right activity in this problem and solve if possible.

                                      i made a call to customer care at airtel on 26 jan 2010 to know about the latest offers. however i was unsatisfied with the response and sent no to 876 whwn asked for the feed back.
                                      today a call came from the no [protected] where three or more friends had a union and startedd using abusing words and threatned me as one among them was thrown out because of my response

                                      Airtel nowadays become an idle network. Tower signals are reduced within last 3 months, whenever we complaint the network signal is not available in a area (HB colony, Tuticorin), they simply replied that it will be cleared in 48 hrs, but after 2 months no response in that area. to make a phone call we have to come out from home. Airtel should increase its strength upon their competitors.

                                        i have been getting rude calls from +50977 from yesterday & the calls continued all night. The airtel customer care is not registering my complaint & is sugessting to approach the nearest police station. i'm thinking of the same but want to wait for today. if the calls continue today, i will approach the police dept. if anyone knows the correct procedure to deal with this type of call centre menace kindly b free to contact me on my email.

                                        I have this no. that i have been usin for more than 5 years now...i lost my cell phone therfore had to block my sim ..i got d new sim yesterday howevr it has stil not been activated...Vodafone customer care has been sayin it wil get activated but tht has not happened... d way they have spoken to me is highly disrespectful...they were rude...impolite...one female even hung up...the service sucks...no one is willing to listen n cooperate...

                                        Il say its nothing to blame the airtel people. This number is just a voip number(Call made from the internet). Its sent not only to airtel, but other connections too. They cant do anything. Just go and contact the higher authorities of police. Either there's one person doing this, or this can be a number. If anyone calls from that site. he gets this number.

I have postpaid, but we don't pay extra for full detailed listing. I would block all international calls, but I get plenty of legitimate calls from abroad as I am a foreigner.

                                        this is a call from ethical hacker who will access your mobile within few seconds and can make outgoing call anywhere in the world by connecting to the system through a program coding and can bounce back the calls...so beware of these calls and try not to receive them.
                                        This is not only in Airtel but also in other service providers like vodafone. I am a vodafone subscriber and also facing the same problem, and It's just not a Fault it's a rude deed which is some body (Tech savvy Person ) is doing or it could be a bug or virus.
