[Resolved]  Blackberry — defective handset

i the undersigned had purchased blackberry pearl 8230 mobile phone from globe general agency , reliance web world express situated at shop no 1 shre wardhan complex besides raymonds retail shop wardha road nagpur 12 , on 7-7-2010 vide invoice no wwe mhi 10035 / 1398 . that after some months around seven months the phone automatically stopped working and was not getting booted , therefore i visited the globe general agency they directed me to visit service station . As i was to go to poona for some personal work the concerned service station incharge at nagpur asked me to show the handset to service station of poona as we will also do the same thing that the handset would be sent to poona for inspection , and if i personally take the hand set the repairing would be faster . In poona the service station incharge told me that the repairing of the hand set would cost me rs 10000/- though its in warranty period and payment should be made immediately as i was not carrying cash at that time the service station officer refused to take my hand set , after that i visited nagpur service station many times they also refused to take my hand set for repairs . It is surprising how i was asked to pay rs 10000/- though the set was in warranty period and moreover refused to take it for repairs and did not give the reason in writing when i asked for the same .

You are therefore requested to kindly look into the matter seriously and immediately and see that i get new hand set or direct the service station at nagpur to repair my hand set free of cost .

Blackberry Pearl — No handset in the box

I ordered the mobile through www.infibeam.com, who in turn processed my order through Gizmo E Bazaar Pvt Ltd. Once i received the order from the latter company, there was no handset in the Blackberry Box, needless to say the seal was broken. I need an action against the company as soon as possible.
This is in reference to Blackberry handset model No 8520 curve purchased by me on 01 Aug 2010 from Jabalpur(Dharmendra Electronics, 12 corporation market, naudra bridge), Madhya Pradesh, India. Within one month and 15 days of its purchase the handset switched off and did not switch on again. The dealer from whom the handset was purchased has been citing delays from the company (Blackberry) for its repair. The handset was given on 17 Oct 2010 for repair and still no word from the company has been received. This is causing a host of inconvenience. . After spending Rs 13,500/= I have to wait at the mercy of the shopkeeper / the company for my handset. Several false assurances were given by the company representative at Jabalpur, Mr Tiwari (Mob No [protected]) that soon the handset would be received by us as it had got repaired at Indore Service Centre. However even after 15 days there is no word on the exact delivery date for the phone. Finally i contacted the Blackberry customer care who informed me that my phone was locked in on 1st Nov at their Indore Service Center (Case ID no BB0052531). After numerous false assurances and mental torture i request that stern action be taken against such defaulting firms.

Blackberry Phone — problem in handset

I had bought an airtel blackberry bold 3G9000 on 27/03/2010. I having some problem in my phone. But on 24/02/2011, I found my phone was automatically switched off. I try to opened, but it was vein. I have gone to Service Centre for this. But, they refuse to take a complaint and have no clue as to who would be the responsible person to reply. They refuse to accept my phone and tell me that they can't help me as my phone was already opened. I told them that because it is in Warranty period why should I, need go some where. They also say, it’s only the service centre people only. I request them to check my phone, but they doesn't listen me and just doing arguments. After an hr argument I haven’t got any satisfactory feedback. Then I called up on 100 Number. Police came and I tell them whole incident. As I am a businessmen and I have always need to touch with the people and with my mails. So, for my requirement I needed to purchase a new phone with the feature of mails accessing.

I purchase a new blackberry Torch phone after this incident.

This is blackberry service? Where do the consumers go? what can they do? Airtel is cash rich on base of its customers- customers who can do nothing about their plight and there is no central body to take up their issues.

So the prompt reply was please take it to customer care. i was given address of Authorized Customer care centres in Delhi.

BlackBerry Curve 8520 — Handset Not repaired

I have purchased my Black Berry curve handset 8520 in August 2010 that is 15th Aug from Ezone electronics...However recently the handset the mik got damaged...so i took it to the blackberry service centre who kept my handset for 20 days and then i had to call them and ask them whether my handset was done..they said that the handset CANNOT BE REPAIRED...now wht am i as a consumer suppose to do..i have purchased this handset at the time when it was 19000 thousand..now they say IT CANNOT BE REPAIRED..IF THE OWN COMPANY CANT REPAIR THE HANDSET MEANS WHAT..ITS A SHAME TO BUY THEIR HANDSETS....ALSO A COMPANY WHO ACTUALLY TRIES TO GET CUSTOMERS ATTRACTION BY ADVERTISING THEIR ORIGINAL 18MONTH WARRANTY AND ALL BUT THE PEOPLE WHO BUY THE HANDSET AND ACTUALLY WANT IT TO GET REPAIRED THEY SAY ITS NOT REPAIRABLE....ALSO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS PATHETHIC OVER THERE...ALSO WHEN MY HANDSET IS NOT REPAIRABLE I HAD TO PAY THE SERVICE COST OF RS.180/-...I AM IN A TOTAL LOSS....PLEASE IF YOU COULD LOOK INTO THIS HAVE SOMETHING DONE FOR ME PLS ITS A EARNEST REQUEST....BECAUSE OTHERWISE PEOPLE WILL LOSE THEIR TRUST IN SUCH BIG COMPANIES ESPECIALLY THE CUSTOMERS WHO GO THRU ALL OF THIS.....PLS CONTACT ME AS SOON AS OU CAN ....THANKS

Subject: Non delivery of Blackberry Bold set 9780 Bold at Shimla. IMEINo [protected]

Dear Sir,

I had given the above set to Redington Centre, Shimla on 4th July, 2011 as the Ear Phone of the set was not working. The phone was purchased on 15th June, 11 and is within warranty period. I was told that the set would be available after repair with in week, but even after 16 days I have not received my set back. I had followed up with North Head Mr. Sharnjit who has been making promises to dispatch the same around 13th July from Gurgaon, but is not responding to SMS/ Calls.

I am inform that I am working in MNC, and it is very difficult for me to pursue my daily business activity. I therefore request you to look into the matter and send my set at the earliest. Hope to get a prompt and actionable reply. The copy of the job card received from Shimla Service centre is attached.

I Agree totally With you I too had Given My Handfree of Blackberry Bold from last one month but till now it has not been replaced after purchasing handset of rs 22000 we dont get sufficent services which blackberry is know for...
I had purchased Blackberry 9220 – ETA – 1742/2012/WRLO, IMEI – [protected]on 24th March 2013 from Alfa - Mumbai. In less than a month it started giving a problem, either party was unable to hear the voice on other end.

Upon complaining for the same i was told to go to service center. I visited a service center in prime mall - i was told that it has a hardware problem and it will go for repairing. Upon asking for replacement i was told that it was possible only if it was given within 15 days of purchase. My phone has actually started giving problem in less than 15 days but i thought may be it was signal problem . But later on i found that it started giving problem in each and every call and during the call also voice was lost. May be this guys has given only 15 days as they know that in a city like mumbai with lot of work pressure & tours it is not possible to visit service center within 15 days.

Also there is poor service from the service center. The hot line number is kept on hold for hours and hours & finally a customer gets tired and drop the idea of compalint. Even email complaints are also unanswered. There is no facility on company's website for the complaints.

We buy international products for their quality. But i really repent being blackberry customer. My earlier blackberry phone also last only for 2 years. One of my friends blackberry is also giving trackpad problem and is not solved even after paying Rs.1200+ in blackberry service center.

Its really sad to know that blackberry company is not giving quality products to Indian customers.

Now i have already spent on blackberry & It really pinches to me as my credit card payment bill was not produced and i had to send handset for repairing.

Is here any way where i can get may money back? Where we can complain for the same.

I had a BlackBerry Bold 5 9790 which was water damaged, i took it to the BlackBerry service center and gave it for repair. They asked me to collect the phone within 8-10 working days. I landed up waiting for a month and got a replacement of the phone by paying 6000 rs/- .today after a week i discovered that the camera is having a problem with it. the phone clicks the image and den reboots itself. today when i took it to service center, the person in-charge there asked me to keep the phone as he will send it to head office in Bangalore. he asked me to wait fr 8-10 working days. now god knows how much time they will take.?! I am really fed up with this brand, never will i go for blackberry in ma life and will also ask people not to buy it. we as the customers should take stern action against blackberry as the management thinks anything will work out in India.! :(
I had purchased a Blackberry mobile 9220 handset 5/6 months back with warranty period of 18 months. The same is not functioning and only blinking with red light. I lodged so many complaints but neither any reply has been received nor the handset is replaced / repaired. I have also not been informed the proper address from where it is to be replaced. The services centres contacted in Netaji Subhash Place and Janak Puri are demanding the amount for its repair though it is under warranty. Please look into and arrange to replace the same urgently.
