[Resolved]  DishTV — DishTV very poor service

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I’m Vijay Krishna Srivastava from Guwahati and I purchased DishTV connection of 3months subscription scheme as on 25/April/2008. After couple of weeks, I’m continuously facing “No access / Signal not found” problem apart from this problem I’m also in problem of their customer care services of such a reputed group. Whenever I call at [protected] (East region) they never pick their customers calls only one line is repeated continuously “this week is for Hera phere movie order your demand movie” but I ever get the line of their customer executive to tell my problem & this phone line is chargeable also, so after 15-20 minutes of wait I’ve to cut my phone from my side. This is really a very good service of Zee network enterprise for their main customer because they know they the existing customer is in their hand, so it is good not to hear their problems. When I call at DishTV Toll free Airtel mobile no. of Nodia, they pick the phone but ask me to hold the line but after that no reply for a long time and finally they disconnect the line from their side. So this is the Goodwill of Zee network / Dish TV. I mail to dish TV number of times regarding my problem of “No access / Signal not found” which was solved but again after few days it repeated itself. This is my final e-mail to Zee network enterprise / DishTV else I’ve to prepare myself for suit a file in consumer form. I’ve a proof against your customer care executive regarding holding the customer for a longtime and disconnect the line as I record it in my mobile phone.

Dish TV — dish tv discontinued forcibly by you

I took distv in february 2008, where 12 month subscription was free, but my connection is being discontinued by you. My complaint no is 17109682
dated 31/10/2008. I have call 10 to 20 times 2 you but in vain. please treat my complaint as urgent
and do the needful. I talked with mr. ajay, urfan, imtiyaz, maniranjan, and samir but no one hear me.

Sub:Complaint against disconnection of channels.

Iam a customer of dishtv I bought theSTB and accessories before 3 years from a shop in kollam at kerala state.At that time there is an offer from your side is five channel access
(including Asianet, HBO..etc.) for life time and free to air channel accessibility with out smart card. Because of the overlooked offers from the dealers I purchased theSTB.Now my connection is blocked by you since 24/10/2008 I enquired the dealer about the problem .He said that the problem is due to the service provider and is for some verification purposes.As a customer it made very difficult to me.Your process is not relating to me at any way.Because as a customer I gave needed documents and purchased theSTB before 3 years.then what verification is needed after 3 years.The dealer had obtained alldetails he want about the customer at the time of purchase. So the customer is not a party in your process and is not a good practice to lock the customers channels for your process.Your process involves only you and your dealer and the customer is not a party. One another thing the manual along with theSTB supplied by the dealer describes that the customer can access the free to air channels(FTA) with out smart card and CI card.But it not possible in my STB.. You are blocked the offered channels as well as free to air channels.So what I am telling you is that to restore my connection immediately with the accessibility of free to air channels with out smart card.other wise the offer violated condition made by you, to take back the STB and accessories and refund my amount. I will sent later the copies of your life time offer in the all leading news papers in Malayalam, and page relating to the access of FTA Channels in the manual without smart card(user manual cd-100S DSTB page no:10)

Dish TV — NO SIGNAL 2ND TIME IN TWO WEEKS

THE MOCKERY OF CONSUMERS IS BEING ENACTED BY DISH TV.
THE ABOVEMENTIONED CONNECTION IS NOT WORKING AGAIN.

THIS WAS LAST REPAIRED BY THEIR EXECUTIVE RAMCHANDER ON THE 8TH OF NOV 2008 AFTER A WEEKLONG CALLS AND COMPLAINTS TO THEIR CALL CENTRES. AND, SURPRISINGLY, WE WERE CHARGED RS. 250 FOR THIS SERVICE FOR NO FAULT OF OURS (I WAS AWAY ABROAD AND MY WIFE HAD TO PAY THIS).

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE RESPONSE AT THEIR CALL CENTRES IS VERY CONSUMER UN-FRIENDLY AND IT TAKES HOURS TO CONNECT TO THE EXECUTIVES AND MAKE ANY COMMUNICATION WITH THEM.

THIS FAULT HAS OCCURED AGAIN IN A SPAN OF 12 DAYS. ALSO, I WOULD LIKE TO UNDERSTAND AS TO WHY I AM LIABLE FOR PAYING RS. 250 FOR GETTING THIS FAULT RECTIFIED?

I WISH TO APPROACH THE CONSUMER COURT FOR PROTECTION UNDER THE CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT, 1984.

Dish TV — disconnection despite paying the renewal 1 week back

I am shocked at the service provided by you. I have paid the renewal charges of 300 Rs on 22/11/2008 (UR-22/11/08IG[protected] for the renewal that was due only on 29/11/2008. My services stood disconnected. I have been receiving msgs on my mobile from 25th November that I have to recharge the subscription. I informed your authorities about the same. But despite all theses my services have been cut. I received a call from DISH TV, Bangalore yesterday and I also informed them about it but they have still not restored my connection. All my calls to your call centre are in vain as they told me that it will be restored within 4 hrs to 24hrs. I donot understand why the hell should it take 24 hrs for activating. It is not that my subscription died and I renewed it after the renewal date. Today morning I called up again and they say that it will take 48 hrs to restore. I have decided to file a complaint with the consumer court stating all the facts and claiming damages for the treatment given from your end.The copy of this letter is marked to them.

i purchased dish tv 4months back, when the atmosphere is cloudy or rainy there is no signal and it last for several minutes.in kerala its rainy time often and if the complaint is like this then whats the need of this one.its better to get local cable connection which is 160 rs per month and getting all pay channels.this is waste...
Dish TV is a company which seems to be misappropriating the amount. After taking a yearly charges they disconnected the connection within 7 months for non-payment. After calling their numbers they have got only one reply "problem will be solved in 3 to 24 hours" and same reply is given even if called after 2 days. All the friends are advised to keep away from such a cheat company.

DishTV — regarding sun tv

Dear sir,
I was paid Rs 200 at trichy 620020 Tamil nadu branch vide bill NoNil dated 12.12.08. for the subscribtion of silver plus + vijay tv+ crace charge for my VC No [protected]. from 14.12.08 as per your siva agency all tamil channel received. But from 15.12.08 sun tv only not receiving with the message of no acceess

DishTV — Poor and hopeless service

I just made a payment of Rs. 5508/- for the renewal of your services of VC no. [protected]
But as the payment has been given to you, whatever channels we are receiving are stopped and now after making a payment we are unable to see any channel which are provided by you.
I made so many complaints from last three days but no body is hearing and giving me the proper and satisfactory reply.

Every Time these three boys told that they are forwarding the complaint.
But till now the situation is same.

Dish TV has the worst service.
Suddenly my set top box stopped working and I am told it needs some software upgrade. Also I have been asked to pay for it which is bad as I do not understand why it needs upgrade in first place. All their customers using the same set top box would require similar upgrade and Dish TV would charge them too.

DishTV — Dishtv Cheated me

Hi All, Dishtv cheated me. my VC number:[protected].I was a customer of Dishtv.I was in maxi pack.last month(Nov'08) I paid my renewal amount of Rs.350 dated 22nd Nov'08.my renewal date was 27 of nov'08.This month I got a sms from dishtv my renewal date is over on 17th of Dec'08.I call up to customer care regarding this they told there was a mistake by them they will activate my account by within 24 hour. but they didn't.next they when I call they told me 7th of december I paid 900 in my account what ever I did pay and my account is showing 900 negative balance.I don't know how it is possible :D.then they told it will take another 24 hour to check. nothing happend.next day when I called they told I have -1800 balance. I don't how it possile.when I am showting to then they simply hangup the phone.I called then so many times nothing happend.

My name is Sandip Paul. My VC Card No. is [protected].I am one of the few first users fof Dish TV when it was introduced. The cost then was higher than cable. Over the time I find that the service of DishTv has detoriated to nil. Despite the company having details like interactive information on channel 999, cell phone, email and house address, they have repetaqtively failed to update my payment details or inform me on renewails. Recently, while complaining about some barred channels, I discovered that my package has been downgraded from Maxi to Platinum which is cheaper. This, despite having taken subcription of six months for Maxi which is 337 per month. The only response I got by complaining that this has been informed on channel 999. This channel is equally bad and does not provide any such information. They further said that to continue with Maxi I have to make a fresh request after 24 hours as they are unable to respond to my complain at this time. This shows how poor their customer care centre is.
It is natural for DISH TV. You keep on paying money and your account will show increased negative balance with every payment. Customer care replies you do what ever you want. You have to spent much more on telephone calls than the subscription amount.
