Having a horrified time with DTDC services.. they have not delivered by consignment yet... and when trying to reach their helpline at atelast 5 differencct centres.. no one answers calls... tried reaching through mail but still no reply..

I, A.Kalyan Chakravarthy, one of those unfortunate customers who fall a victim to the mismanagement of the DTDC courier services, with a great pain managed to compose this mail to bring to your kind notice about the pathetic services delivered inspite of paying money and rudely ill treated.
A package bearing the tracking number H78609124 was sent to me on October 25, 2010 from Hyderabad. This package was returned back to the sender stating the address was insufficient. During this period I was admitted in a hospital for testing positive for swine flu. The moment I recovered, I contacted your DTDC Mundhwa office and was told the package is with them and they will send it to me again which never happened inspite of repeated phone calls to your office at Mundhwa. Later, I was surprised at the fact the package was returned to Hyderabad.
However, I contacted the sender and asked him to resend the same package for which the DTDC office at Hyderabad committed the package will be sent and will be received latest by November 3, 2010. This also never happened.
Today i.e., November 9th 2010, I received a call from DTDC near Magarpatta at Pune advising me that they received the package and that I have to come to their office to pick it up as they will not be able to send the courier to my place which is barely 3Kms. Also, the lady who spoke to me was not intrested in listening to what I was trying to say and kept on repeating that they dont deliver the package to the location I am located at.
Now my concern is, its an internal management issue of DTDC as far as we customers are concerned, we pay for the services with the appropriate address and are not expected to go to the DTDC office avoiding our commitments to collect the package for which we already paid. Should that be the case, then you should have charged us for delivering the package at the door step which we would have gladly obliged to pay.
This lady to whom I spoke to at[protected] states the package cannot be delivered as it comes under their "No Service" area. Now DTDC being a professional courier service people should be able to manage these things. How can DTDC expect us to understand their business processes of where they deliver the package or not. Now is the liability lying with me for paying money for my package? Or is it that I have to pay that extra Rs.10 or Rs.20 to get my package?

DTDC is waste they will never delivery in time kindly prefer to other courier services its waste of time and spending money.

my courier z25227393 consignee number is this is pick from gorakhpur on 7 and reached Varanasi on 8 but still on 11 it is not deliver. Is a local parcel take 5 day to deliver?
Such courier must go To consumer forum and have a penality on late delivery
Document is important for me and for this i am in trouble.Who is responsible??

One consignment was sent from Vishakhpatnamvide no------H30490747 to be delivered to my name A .JAGANNATH RAO, B-114Ramagreencity, khamtarai Bilaspur but was delivered to other address on 5Sept14.Iam following up from Bilaspur DTDC office but till today not delivered to me. It is having very valuable document and time bounded.Matter may be taken up on top priority.
Courier was booked from Chennai to Jammu on 29th September, 2014 which reached Jammu on 4th October but has not been delivered.When i called on[protected] then they replied that they will not deliver and someone has to come to their office to collect the courier citing reasons that it is non service area.

You should have told the customer while booking if its area of service or not.
It is harrasment and if this courier didnt get delivered then i will be bound to approach consumer forum for my right.

I had to send a courier to Bangalore. So I trusted the DTDC guy and asked him my options.
Options before me were to avail an ordinary courier for which the charges were Rs.60.
In this option the courier was to be delivered in 4-5 Days.
Other option was for a charge of Rs.210 where the delivery was to reach in 3 Days.
Now, 4 days have elapsed. Why do you guys offer a high priced promise that cannot be kept. This is simply loot of money. You guys should offer refund of money if you cannot deliver in time.

The worst courier service I have ever encountered. Better late than never, this company should wind up or Govt should enforce unethical service providers to pull down their shutters. I booked a letter to be delivered from Jammu city on 14 july 2015 (consignment number Z[protected] to be delivered at office at Parliament street, New Delhi. The letter is yet to be delivered after 8 days. DTDC website since 15 july shows "Out for delivery". Have been following the issue with them on phone with delhi office and more than a dozen visits to their Jammu outlet. DTDC dealing persons, as per them, are trying to find out the correct position. It is not only frustrating but also utterly non-professional way of handling the customers. My personal request to all those who read this comment is to never deal with DTDC and also spread this world widely to help common people falling prey to these unprofessional and unethical service providers. This is to bring under your notice that unfortunately I booked a consignment from your company DTDC no. Z88177594 from New Delhi on the 23rd of March, 2009. Its destination was Trichur. It has been seven days now and the consignment has not reached till now. Moreover, your tracking site, which you claim to be updated shows that the consignment has reached Atthani, Trichur on 26th march but has not reached its final destination. this is disgusting, thats the least to say. Your staff at Trichur do not give any correct information and try to mislead about the shipping from the last four days, its highly pathetic service from your side.It was an important document which needed to reach on time but now of no avail.I do not know what answers do you have for such callousness in attitude.Not only that I have sent my feedback several times but not received any reply so far.Its a total mental harassment that your company has led us to and we are thinking of going to the consumer forum straightaway. i feel very sorry for the state of affairs at your end and hope somebody will claim responsibility for the same.
The consignment was an application form for the AIIMS PG Entrance exam which was to be submitted back in delhi by 2nd of april. Its 1st of april today but still there has been no information from the DTDC staff, both delhi office as well as trichur office.
The loss is irrepairable as the the person will not be able to sit for the exam which was o[censored]tmost importance to his medical career and life.
