[Resolved] Hathway Bangalore — Channels not coming for past 10 days | |
Hi, I am Sanjay, and I got hathway set-top box for cable. We are not getting CNBC TV18 and CNN IBN channels for past 10 days in BTM 1st stage, Bangalore. I have complained to my agent and there is no response from them. Even I tried to call Hathway phone numbers which are published in their website www.hathway.com. It says invalid numbers (+[protected]/680). I dont know whether there is anybody at hathway, listening to customer complaints. We pay so much money and donot even bother to respond to the complaints. We are also in Bangalore and having the same problem. Have you got any response?
We're in Bangalore too. This morning (23rd Feb. 2009) they are telecasting the Oscars on Star Movies and can you imagine.. Star Movies doesn't come in my Hathway card. Their helpline number displayed int the card menu[protected] that nobody is picking up (may be because of the time I'm calling, 6 in the morning) and their corporate office (shree complex) numbers are all invalid. It's a pity.
Someone has to do something about this somewhere. :-)

We are also not getting Kids channels Disney Disney XD. Our cable operator Chetan Cable Net Work, Doddabommasandra, Vidyarayanpura not responding properly for the above. We taking Hathway set up Box 230 channels package through him only.. But their Channels List they are showing No. 410 is Disney and No. 411 is Disney XD. Hathway Customer care centre also not replying at all.

I am Krishnan staying in KALYAN NAGAR, Bangalore. For past 10-12 days several channels have been discontinued, like the entire Star package, plus regional channels like Asianet, etc. When I contacted them about 10 days ago they said they were having payment problems with these channels and it would be sorted out and all channels would be resumed in a couple of days time. But even after 2 weeks they remain blank. Today I tried contacting them, but would you believe it? none of the numbers were answering. Even their customer care nodal officer Mr.Sashi Kumar has switched off his phone, so is the case with the local franchisee Mr.Naidu. Hathway customer service is the worst among all cable operators. You should try companies like Airtel who give more importance to customer satisfaction. But the word customer satisfaction is absent in Hathway's vocabulary. Their local operator has admitted to me that they do not man their office after 6 PM and any complaint after 6 PM will not be attended, even though they are boasting of 24x7 customer care service!!
In our area also there are many channels missing for past 2 weeks. and standard answer what we get is that it will come by tonight
Hathway's Digital Cable Television service is awefully bad. In Kasturi Nagar, there is a Local Cable Operator by name, R.J. Sri Cable Networks. This Local Cable Operator provides very very bad service. The video quality is extremely bad. Its very bad for the eyes to view such a bad video content. There is one Mr. Kajappa who runs this LCO's network. This Kajappa is a rogue. He will use arm twisting tactics to get money from you. He will cut the service to get money for bad service. This guy cuts off many of the channels in his signal. Hathway says that this LCO is a franchisee and, as a franchisor, Hathway has no control over RJ Sri Cable Networks and Kajappa. What can be a more pitiable statement from an MSO? Also, if there is no power in some other area or building, you will not get TV service. This is a new concept in Kasturi Nagar.
Furthermore, Hathway and ACT have a very good understanding. Each will not encroach the other's area. This way, there is no competition between Hathway and ACT.
If anyone is residing in Kasturi Nagar, I would request them to not depend upon R.J. Sri Cable Networks. Instead, they can depend upon any of the DTH operators like Tata Sky or AirTel, etc.
