Its true. Hometown service is hopeless! Dont mind spending extra money on brands which gives a good service but this one is worst! Took ages to deliver the Sofa which they promised on time and persons in billing section and the manager irritated the most as we had to wait for ages in the store for the mistake done by them...Not recommended!

Totally Agree.. I placed an order for Washing machine in home town bangalore...They are taking atleast one month to deliver against their promise to deliver in 7 days. Delivery is higly hopeless. Its worst..Not sure what management is doing...

I had ordered a Godrej Slimline Steel Cupboard from Home Town, Marathalli, Bangalore about 23-1-.2010. The delivery was delayed by 3 days against the promised date. A fitter from Home town came the next day and worked on it for more than 2 hours finally admitting that he was unable to do the job. After he left, I also found about 3 dents on the metal parts. The next day I personally went to Home Town and informed what happened. They promised to look into it, but haven't got back and the cupboard is still lying at home in pieces.
How do we describe such services ?
Despicable ? Abominable ?...

I completely agree with the feedback on HomeTown. Their service is pathetic to say the least !!! I had ordered for a bed from HomeTown Bangalore. Bed was delivered in a defective condition. This was acknowledged by the HomeTown staff as well. However since then i have neither got the bed replaced nor are the Store managers reachable. There is one manager by the name of Sreekanth who made many false promises. Its sad that even the management has no inclination to serve the customer or even to deliver the right product !!!

I experienced a similar problem with Home Town. I ordered three items of which two items were delivered on the date promised still no fitment. I was told that someone will come the next day to do the fitment who did not show up until 1.00 PM despite telephoning and saying that he is on the way. Delivery of the missing item is still not received.

I plan to lodge a claim to compensate me for two days which I lost waiting for Home Town to deliver the ordered goods and to do the fitment.

Worst Delivery.I purchased a bed and they delivered it after 2 months.I had to follow up hell lot of times for that.Customer service team is .They have no co-ordination with the delivery team.Managers are confused lots.Every delivery guys who came to deliver stuffs in my house ask for extra money.Godrej people who delivered Almira which I purchased from Hometown almost demanded and verbally fought with me for 100 rupees per floor as their tips.Such a poor quality of service.Even parking they charge 50 rupees and there is no security for car.My car was banged on the front result in dent and bumper damage while it was parked in hometown parking lots.People in charge of parking simply denied knowing the facts that this has happened there only and they even don't know how to talk to customers.These people are nothing but bunch of labor class crooks.

i should have read these comments before visiting into HOME TOWN. My bad...

I have ordered a Dining Table set, it was not delivered in time. I had to chase up with the so called Customer care many times. when they finally turned up the fitters found out that one leg is shorter that the other three.
next day some other guy came with a new leg. now while fitting a small connector was broken. I am still waiting for them to come and fit the same. People please avoid Home Town Marathalli(i dont know about other branches/places). Their service is hopeless, unprofessional, rude at times.

Fresh experience, just finished calling up hometown for the 10th time now.
These guys are unblieveable, how can they service with such poor service.
I had ordered LG (I know it is coming from ezone) but then hometown should take responsiblity of what ever is sold from their outlet. Though promised to be delivered in 2 days it came after 4 days. and one more day for some technition to come fix it, and when he opened the package the TV was broken. The TV was 1, 50, 000 worth and it is in a broken state. when we call showroom they said they will replace ti is already 3 days now, they have not taken back the broken one nor the new one has come. The hometown or ezone guys have not control of what is happening, when ever we call they say they will call back after 5 minutes, not never call back. When we ask them they say the inventory has a problem and inventory blames the delivery has a problem. If hometown/ezone does not have control over their departments how will they ever provide good service. Looks like good service notion is not ther with any of the indian brands, they think good service is about have a plus looking building with escalators and some english speaking salesmen. They should realize that good service is more than tha. They are absolutely taking the consumers for a ride. GOvt should put some regulations, should mandate SLA and should compansate any such bad service. especially of timely deliver. Worst is the communication, they don't call up and PROACTIVELY say that due to some problem they are getting delayed in delivering things. They keep quite and no one knows what is happening. This absolutely fraud!
