[Resolved]  Home Town Bangalore — cheating on Cancellation and refund

We placed order in Home town Bangalore showroom on 9/9/2009 for a 3 door WARDROBE worth Rs.13999 advance receipt number# [protected]. We were told the product will be delivered with in 20 days. We paid initially half the amount Rs 7000/- and upon receiving the product show room people asked us to pay the rest of the amount. They promised to call us once the product reaches their wearhouse. even after 20 days they never called us. We went personally to show room and paid Rs 6999/- ( both the payments were done using citibank credit card). Total of Rs. 13999/- was paid to Home town on 2/10/2009.

On 2nd they promised to deliver the product within 3 days. They never contacted us again. We were very stress ful with multiple converstations forced them to give us the product early. Reshma agent of theirs called and asked us if we are ready to take a defective product. We lost faith with Tome town then. We called them up and asked them to cancel the order immediately. They assured us over phone the amount will be transfered back to my citibank a/c. We travelled for Diwali vaction to Maharastra. Through out our vacation some one or the other from Home town started calling us and pestering to take the product - delivery is ready. We explained the above thing to atleast 10-15 agents. Still phone calls started coming. All through we told them very clearly to cancel the order - while they were offering some credit vouchers - which are not required. We do not intend to do any purchase as we lost trust on their products - words - communications.

After reaching bangalore we called up Home Town - We were told Imran is the responsbile person and the call was tranfered to Imran. He mentioned that order was cancelled on 20th Oct 2009. Also proactively mentioned that amount will be in our a/c within 15-20 days. We asked him for cancellation number. He said he will call us back and never got back. We tried multiple times to reach him and failed to reach. Today my wife called up Imran to confirm the cancellation number - he told her that he was on leave and travelling and Roshan is responsibile to take up problems in his abscence. We called up Roshan - he took the full details and aked us to call back Imran.

Upon frustration we took their Bosses eamil id: satyamurthy.[protected]@home-solutions.co.in and sent an email.

I feel this is a cheating case and they are trying to play with customers. Our money is blocked with them for alm most 1 month 20 days and they are not giving us truthful responses.Please let us know what next can be done to get our money back to our a/c. or any legal proceedings with them to get justice.

30-35 calls made to Home town overall will be surely recorded through Airtel Billing and BSNL billing. as a proof.
We have all bills paid and purchase orders.

Even i have purchased a Tv they have showed * rated TV and has delivered non energy star rated TV and then said Samsung TV comes without star energy rated. how funny, i have also purchased a washing machine on the same day and till date no one from samsung came for demo, also purchased KORYA iron, exchanged 5 times and last time manager has asked to write forcibilly that iam satisified in bill, i write as no other option, please beware before purchasing any thing from hometown take a snap and then order, they may show u star energy electronics item and may deliver old out dated items with same model
I ordered a study table with HomeTown, Marathalli, Bangalore on 01/08/2010 and made advance payment of the total price same day. They made a written commitment of delivering the product within 15/08/2010. On 14/08 /2010 they delivered only a cartoon box - not hte finished product. After persistant follow up they made the assembly of the product on 17/08/2010. The product had a broken part, lock and handles missing. My complaints did not move them at all. They ask meto wait for another 15days. When I ask for refund of money atleast they are doing all tricks to avoid the same.
In 48 years of my life I had not experinced such a worst service from any business house, both personal and official.
